evenif即使eventhough即使despite为介词意指inspiteof:不管后面接名词结构evenif(=eventhough)though,although,evenif(though)均可引导让步状语从句，但在侧重假设或推断时要用though或asif(though),例如：Althoughitrainsheavily,weshallstillgooutthough,although的用法,区别有共同之处，也有不同点。两都可用来引导让步状语从句，表示汉语的"虽然……但是……"。但不能说although/though...but...。如：不能说：Although/Thoughheisveryold,butheisstillquitestrong.句中的but应去掉。Although是较为正式的用语，引导的从句多位于主句前，though多用于非正式文体中，引导的从句位于主句前后都可。注意：though可用于倒装句中，although不可。如：Youngthoughheis,hehasworkedforafewyears.他虽然年轻但已经工作好几年了。上句中although应改为evenif(though)或though。再如：Though(Eventhough)everyonedesertsyou,Iwillnot.
