我见过英文报纸上用的是villa查《牛津高阶》得：villa：n. 1 (Brit) (usu as part of an address ) large detached or semi-detached house in a suburban or residential district: e.g.No 3 Albert Villas 2 house for holiday-makers at the seaside, in the countryside, etc e.g.: rented villas in Spain3 country house with a large garden, esp in S Europe: e.g.the Villa d'Este, i.e. in Italy4 (in Roman times) country house or farm with an estate attached to it
