on time 是准时 in time 是及时 ect： Will the train arrive on time? 火车会准时到达吗? They were just in time for the bus. 他们及时赶上了公共汽车 in time表示在规定的时间点前后都可以 on time表示在规定时间点之前或规定的时间到的时候（不能晚）

in是指在...之内，所以不难理解intime可以是指提前完成某事，是及时；on则是指在某一时间点上，是个确切的时间点，所以ontime是指准时。麻烦采纳，谢谢!
