这个问题我会，虽然本人英语口语不是很好，但是对英语四六级词汇还是很熟悉的~给大家总结了一个表格可以先粗略看一下：

【含义】

1、alternate：英[ɔːlˈtɜːnət,ˈɔːltəneɪt,ˈɔːltɜːnət]，美[ˈɔːltərnət,ˈɔːltərneɪt]

n. 候补;代替者;代理人;

v. (使)交替;(使)轮流;

adj. 交替的;轮流的;间隔的;每隔(…天等)的;

2、alternative：英[ɔːlˈtɜːnətɪv]，美[ɔːlˈtɜːrnətɪv]

adj. 可供替代的;另类的;非传统的;

n. 可供选择的事物;

【用法】

1、alternate可以作动词，alternate 作形容词时，还有“轮流的、间隔的、相互的、候补的”的意思。

例句：They alternate at cleaning the classroom.他们轮流打扫教室。

例句：We go swimming on alternative days.我们隔天去游泳。

2、alternative没有动词词性，只可作形容词和名词，示从两个或数个之中任择其一。

例句：There are two alternative routes from Shenyang to Beijing.从沈阳到北京有两条可供选择的路线。

例句：An alternative arrangement can be made if my plans don't suit you.如果我的计划对你不合适,可另行安排。

I can't sleep either.（我也睡不着觉）。此句中“either”的含义是“也，同样”。这个词通常用于否定句当中，表示“我也不………”。
