I suppose that you are right. You can suppose that A equals B. 你可以假定A等于B。 2. suppose +名词 / 代词 + to be...,表示“认为…… 如: Many people suppose him to be over 50. Suppose we go for a swim. (= Let's go for a swim.) be supposed to 的用法 用法一: be supposed to... 当be supposed to... Everyone is supposed to wear a seat-belt in the car. Teachers are supposed to treat all the students alike. 用法:当be supposed to... The new laws are supposed to prevent crime. The train was supposed to arrive half an hour ago. You are supposed to have handed in your homework by now. He is supposed to have arrived an hour ago. 用法四: be supposed to... She was not supposed to be angry about that. You are not supposed to smoke on the bus.

I suppose we’ll go there next week. What makes you suppose him to be connected with them? I supposed her to have already left for home. I never supposed him a hero. We all suppose him clever. I supposed him in the office. You don’t mind my smoking, I suppose. I suppose (that) you are very busy just at the moment? I suppose they will leave here tomorrow. Can you guess what I mean? I imagine that you are tired. I don’t suppose I’ll trouble you. I don’t suppose(that)I shall be back until eight o’clock. I didn’t suppose (that) it was true. 如: -Will he come? -Yes, I suppose so. / No, I suppose not. / No, I don’t suppose so. I don’t suppose so. /I suppose not. 误:I suppose not so. Let’s suppose that we had not helped him, what would happen? Suppose it rained, we would still go. Suppose you meet me at the office at half past seven. Suppose (=Let’s go) for a swim. Suppose we went for a walk! You are supposed to be here at nine. Everyone is supposed to know the rules. At the moment he is supposed to be in Paris. You are not supposed to smoke on the bus. We are not supposed to play football on Sundays. He’s not supposed to do that. The supposed beggar is really a police officer in disguise. Supposing it rains, what will you do?

suppose sb./sth. to have done 的结构。

例如:

They supposed the paper to have been lost during the war.

The police arrested him because he was supposed to have killed the lady.

be supposed to do sth. = should do sth.

We are supposed to help each other.

You are supposed to hand in your papers before class is over.

3、suppose

We had supposed that we would be able to see more of Shanghai, but time didn't permit.

What makes you suppose (that) I'm against it?

It was generally supposed that it would not happen again.

Do you suppose he'll fail to catch the train?

I suppose so./ I suppose not. (= I don't suppose so.
