信念 belief和faith都是，但是用法稍有不同，如下： 我信任你，我对你有信心：I have faith in you. faith 最早来自于信仰的意思，比如信神，信上帝,或者说他的（宗教）信仰很坚定: He has strong faith. belief 是believe这个动词的名词形式。表示相信或者人与人之间的信任，也表示宗教信仰，比如His belief system is problematic. 他的信仰有问题。但是无论在宗教信仰或者人际信任的程度上来说，都不如faith强烈。 常常有人说他是一个非常虔诚的基督徒时，用的是faith或者faithful，而不是belief.如： He is a faithful Christian. 因此，从理解上而言，belief更像信仰某一宗派，faith是虔诚的信仰。所以，当我们说i have faith in you的时候是极度信任的意思。
