西条八十(1892-1970)日本诗人、童谣作家。出生于东京。毕业于早稻田大学英文科，也曾就读于东京大学国文科。在早大读书期间，和日夏耿之介等人创办诗刊《假面》。1913年至1915年去法国留学，归来后任刚刚创设的早稻田大学法文科教授。从此活跃在法国文学研究和大众歌谣这两个领域。童谣创作始于1918年。在这一年，西条八十接受铃木三重吉的建议，为《红鸟》创作童谣。最初的童谣《忘却的蔷薇》发表在10月号上。12月号上发表《金丝雀》。《金丝雀》由作曲家成田为三谱曲，成为近代童谣的代表作之一，在全国流行。1919年出版处女诗集《砂金》，作为象征派诗人为诗坛所注目。同年，在《大观》上发表《童谣我见》，与北原白秋之间开始了论争，并离开《红鸟》转至《童话》杂志。在进行创作的同时，还作为童谣的评选者，发现扶植了金子美铃和岛田忠夫等童谣新秀。在此之后的4年里，与北原白秋、野口雨情一起，将童谣界三分天下。1924年，出版《西条八十·童谣全集》，这本童谣集收入138首童谣，可以说是汇总了他的童谣作品的集大成之作。西条八十的童谣特色，如果以一句话来概括，那就是以幻想的表现方式，抒发幼时的情绪。西条八十除创作童谣外，还与人共编《世界童谣集》，为把外国童谣介绍到日本作出了有深远意义的贡献。 战后，担任日本音乐著作权协会会长。1962年，成为日本艺术院会员。代表作有‘东京行进曲’、‘东京音头’、‘青色山脉’、‘苏州夜曲’等。
乔山中，1946年9月2日出生于神奈川县横滨市，本名山中明，母亲是日本人，父亲是美籍牙买加人，乔山中的身上因此有一半的黑人血统。1966年，20岁的乔山中在日本演艺界初展头角。1977年，乔山中被作曲家大野雄二看中参与了电影《人证》的拍摄，其主唱的主题歌《草帽歌》一炮而红。此后，乔山中略带沙哑的歌声红遍日本的影视歌坛。除了家喻户晓的《人证》之外，乔山中还出演过三池崇史的电影《烈火》和1989年版的《座头市》。在日本电影界与渡濑恒彦和Jerry藤尾一起被称为“三大硬汉”。2011年8月6日上午6时56分，因肺癌在神奈川县横须贺市的医院病逝，享年64岁。
