英文中真的没有单独的"顺便"这个词,查字典的话会出现 in passing 和 conveniently 这两个单词,但只做为单词,它们的用法与我们中文所说的顺便意思又不太一样. 你要说这句话就只是"帮我把杯子拿过来"不加后面的"顺便"但如果你一定要用到"顺便"那你还得再加一些内容. 给你几个例子,你就明白了. Buy me a pen while you are at the shop. 你去商店时顺便给我买去笔. Send this for me while you're at the post office. 你去邮局时顺便帮我把这个寄了. 你可以不说这个顺便,要说就只能就当时情况而定了,英文中没有中文这样好用的"顺便".所以你问的这句话也是,可能会说成.Get me the cup while you're at the dining room.到饭厅时顺便把我的杯子拿来.而不能说成,Pass me the cup in passing.in passing 用于表示做了什么事情觉得有些不太自在等想表现出自己并非有某种目的而去做某事,或是确实在无意识中做了某事.希望别人不要太在意或不要误会的意思.所以就你的情况顺便不能译成in passing.另外，by the way也有顺便的意思，给你举个例子：Since you are going outside now,please take the trash out by the way.既然你要出去了，请顺便把垃圾带走。
