收集的英语为collect。
收集指招收聚集，把零散的东西搜罗、搜集、收拢在一起。收集（collect） 是一般动词，变化有规则。collect原型为collects，用于第三人称单数，collecting为现在分词，collected为过去式，collected为过去分词。
collect和gather有什么区别
gather和collect均可表示“收集”，但是，gather指把分散的东西集中在一个地方，比方收集庄稼、树叶、花草等等；collect则常用来指按计划或者为了某个特定的目的把东西经过仔细挑选后收集起来。例如：
1、秋天，这些小动物把地上的坚果收集起来（These little animals gather nuts from the ground in the autumn）。
2、现在您必须收集数据并用它来证实您的假设（Now you must collect data and use it to validate your hypothesis）。
