宾语从句,是名词性从句的一种。在主从复合句中充当宾语,位于及物动词、介词或复合谓语之后的从句称为宾语从句。本文整理了宾语从句用法,欢迎阅读。

一、宾语从句的连接词:

1、连词that,只起连接作用,在从句中不作句子成分,也无词汇意义,在口语中常被省略。

eg. He knew (that) he should work hard.

2、连词if 、whether,它们起连接作用,在从句中不作句子成分,作“是否”解,在口语中多用if。

eg. Tom don’t know if/whether his grandpa liked the present.

He asked me whether or not I was coming.

一般情况下,if 和whether可以互换,但以下3种情况只能用whether:

①在不定式前:Whether to go there or not hasn’t been decided.

②在介词前:It depends on(依靠) whether it is going to rain.

③与or not连用:They are talking about whether to go there or not.

3、连接代词who, whom, whose, what, which,连接副词when, where, why, how, 它们起连接作用,作句子成分,各有自己的意义。

eg. The teacher asked the new students which class he was in.

I wonder where he got so much money.

【注意】1、由连接代、副词引导的宾语从句可以和“疑问词+不定式”结构转化。

eg. I don’t know how I should do with the presents. è I don’t know how to do with the presents.

2、要注意区分判断由if、when引导的从句类型.

二、宾语从句的语序:

宾语从句的语序是陈述语序,即“连接词+主语+谓语+其它成分”。特别强调:它的主语和谓语的语序是陈述语序,而不是疑问句的倒装结构。

Can you tell me who(m) do we have to see?(╳)

Can you tell me who(m) we have to see?( √)

The teacher asked the students what they were doing.(思考: what在从句中的成分)

陈述句变为宾语从句时,要注意人称和时态的变化,语序不变。 eg. She said, “I will leave a message on the desk.” à She said she would leave a message on the desk.

一般疑问句和特殊疑问句变为宾语从句时,也要注意人称和时态的变化,后面接陈述语序。Eg. “Where are the tickets?” I asked him. à I asked him where the tickets are.

三、宾语从句的时态呼应:

宾语从句中谓语动词的时态,常常受到主句谓语时态的制约,此为时态呼应。如果主句谓语是一般现在时或将来时,从句谓语的时态不受限制;如果主句谓语的时态是一般过去时,从句一般要随着改为相应的过去时态(一般过去时、过去进行时、过去将来时、过去完成时)。

eg. I thought (that) you are free today. (╳)

I thought (that) you would be free today. ( √)

【注意】当宾语从句叙述的是客观真理时,不管主句谓语的时态如何,从句都用一般现在时。

eg. The teacher told us (that) the earth moves around the sun.

四、其他需要说明的问题:

1、标点由主句决定,如主句是陈述句、祈使句,则用句号;是疑问句则用问号。

eg. I heard she had been to the Great Wall.Can you tell me which bus I should take?

2、要注意个别句子中主从句人称的一致。

五、宾语从句和状语从句的区分:

eg. 1) I will go out tomorrow if it is fine.

2) I don’t know if the train has arrived.

句1中if引导的是状语从句。这个从句表示“条件”,修饰主句。整个句子的意思是如果明天天气好,我就出去。句2中if引导的是宾语从句,充当谓语动词don’t know的宾语。整个句子的意思是我不知道火车是否到达。

判断方法:

1、可以从整个句式看。状语从句一般可以放在主句的前面或后面(个别除外),宾语从句只能放在主句谓语动词之后。

2、从引导词看。if充当宾语从句的连接词时,相当于whether, 词义为“是否”,充当状语从句的连接词时,词义为“如果”。when充当宾语从句的连接词时,意为“什么时候”,充当状语从句的连接词时,意为“当……的时候”。

3、从时态看。if和when作连接词时,引导宾语从句要注意:从句的谓语动词的时态应根据主句的时态作相应的变化。if和when充当从属连词时,引导条件和时间状语从句,若主句的谓语动词用一般将来时,则从句的时态应用一般现在时表示将来。

if和when既可以引导宾语从句,也可以引导状语从句,应注意它们在两种从句中的意思和用法的不同。if和when引导宾语从句时,分别意为“是否”和“何时”,其时态应和主句时态相呼应;它们引导状语从句时,意思分别为“如果,假如”和“当……时候”,当主句时态是一般将来时时,其时态用一般现在时。它们常常放在含有状语从句和宾语从句的题干中进行综合考查。如:

—Do you know when he will come back tomorrow?你知道他明天什么时候回来吗?

—Sorry,I don't know.When he comes back,I'll tell you.对不起,不知道。当他回来了,我将告诉你。

—I don't know if he will come.我不知道他是否会来。

—He will come if it doesn't rain.如果不下雨,他会来的。

对于宾语从句的考查,多以单选的形式考查学生灵活运用的能力。一般情况下,常从引导词的选择、时态的一致性及从句的陈述语序方面考查。

典型例题:Please tell me ______ last year.

A.where does your sister work B where did your sister work

C .where your sister works D where your sister worked

解析:本题考查对宾语从句的掌握。宾语从句要用陈述语序,所以排除A和 B;last year 表示过去时 ,所以排除 C 。

答案:D

误区提醒

宾语从句的语序要用陈述句语序 ,但要注意当疑问词为主语时,句式为:疑问词+谓语+其他 ,问句和陈述句语序一样。

典型例题:I didn't know ?

A. What wrong was with her B.what was wrong with her

C .what wrong is with her D.what is wrong with her

解析:主句是一般过去时,从句要用相应过去时态,所以排除C和D;在what was wrong with her中,what作主语,所以问句本身又是陈述句语序,不用变化。

④ 下列结构后面的从句一般也作为宾语从句看待:

be sorry / afraid / sure / glad +that从句,如:I’m sorry I’m late. (对不起,我迟到了。) / I’m afraid he isn’t in at the moment. (恐怕他此刻不在家。)

第二、不良的学习习惯造成发音不准确。

有很多中学生音标基础很好,但是由于养成了不良的学习习惯,导致发音不准确,进而导致听力障碍。例如,有些同学养成了发音跟着感觉走的习惯,看见生词很少查音标。英语(论坛)单词的拼写和读音是有规律可循的,初中物理,但不是所有的单词都符合规律。如果这个单词的发音符合规律,那么万事大吉,如果不符合规律,就会造成发音不准,进而导致听力障碍。

第三、对连读、弱读、失去爆破、音的同化等知识缺少了解和练习。

单词在句子中由于受到其它单词的影响,发音会发生变化。如果不了解这种变化,我们也会感到听力困难。常见的变化形式有:

连读:前面的单词以辅音结尾,后面的单词以元音开头,在讲话时通常会发生连读。如:an apple, 读成a napple。

弱读:指的是元音的弱化。为了加快语速,或者由于单词在句子中处于次要地位,我们在讲话时往往不发字典里标的强读音,而发弱读音。如am 读成/ m,m/ Can读成 /kn/

一、定语从句的概念

在复合句中,修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。被修饰的名词或代词叫先行词,定语从句一般放在先行词的后面。

二、定语从句的关系词

引导定语从句的关系词有关系代词和关系副词,常见的关系代词包括that, which, who(宾格whom,所有格whose)等,关系副词包括where, when, why等。关系代词和关系副词放在先行词及定语从句之间起连接作用,同时又作定语从句的重要成分。

三、定语从句的分类

四、关系代词的用法

1. that 既可以用于指人,也可以用于指物。在从句中作主语或宾语,作主语时不可省略,作宾语可省略。例如:

Mary likes music that is quiet and gentle.玛丽喜欢轻柔的音乐。(that作主语)

The coat (that) I put on the desk is blue.我放在桌子上的那件外套是蓝色的。(that作宾语)

2.which用于指物,在句中作主语或宾语,作主语不可省略,作宾语可省略。例如:

The building which stands near the train station is a supermarket.位于火车站附近的那座大楼是一家超市。(作主语)

The film (which) we saw last night was wonderful. 我们昨天晚上看的那部电影很好看。(作宾语)

3.who, whom用于指人,who 用作主语,whom用作宾语。在口语中,有时可用who代替whom,也可省略。例如:

注意:(1)当定语从句中含有介词,介词放在句末时,who, that, which可省略,但介词在关系代词前时,只能用“介词+which/whom”结构。例如:

(2)含有介词的固定动词词组中,介词不可前置,只能放在原来的位置上。例如:

(被动句) 2)被动句如何变为主动句. a.找到动作的执行者(常为被动句的宾语)作主动句的主语.b.找到be+过去分词结构还原为及物动词原形.c.找到动作的承受者(常为被动句的主语)作主动句的宾语.d.确定及物动词的时态.数(注意)在以上转换中,代词作主语用主格, 代词作宾语用宾格. 6.主动语态中有些动词如:make,see,listen, watch,feel后常跟不带to的动词不定式作宾语补足语,变为被动语态要带上to He made the boy work for him. →The boy was made to work for him. 7.主动语态中若有双宾语,变为被动语态时, 通常把指人的间接宾语变为被动语态的主语. His uncle gave him a dictionary yesterday.→He was given a dictionary by his uncle yesterday. G:现在完成时枣表示到目前为止已经完成,并对现在留下某种后果和影响的动作。 结构:助动词have/has + 动词的过去分词 用法:1.表示过去发生的某一动作对现在造成的影响或结果,常与一些时间状语,如:already, yet, ever, never, just, before, once,twice等连用,也可以和包括现在在内的时间状语,如these days,today,this year,so far等连用.eg.I have already posted the letter. (信已经不在我这儿了) 2.表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态,一直持续到现在,也许还将继续下去,可以和表示从过去某一时刻延续到现在的一段时间的状语连用,即for +时间段,since+时间点/从句, in the last ten years等,谓语只可用延续性动词. 解析: 1.英语动词根据词义可分为两种,一种是延续性的,一种是终止性的,终止性动词(也可称为非延续性动词,瞬间动词,或点动词),如begin,start,die,buy,leave, come等,表示动作的发生与结束于一瞬间完成,不能再延续,所以它的现在完成时不能和表示延续的时间状语连用,即不能与表示一段时间的状语,for+时间段, since+时间点/从句连用,也不能用在how long引导的特殊疑问句中. eg. I've left Shanghai for three days.(×) I've been away from Shanghai for three days.( √ ).I left Shanghai three days ago. ( √ ) It is /has been three days since I left Shanghai.( √ ) 2.初中英语课本中常见终止性动词有:leave, go, come, arrive, begin, buy, borrow, die, join, become等.终止性动词要表示持续时, 可用以下方法: ⑴.将时间状语改为时间段 + ago,句中谓语动词用一般过去时. eg.我弟弟参军两年了. My brother joined the army two years ago. ⑵.若保留for+时间段,since+时间点/从句, 或用在 how long 句型中,则需将终止性动词改为相应的状态动词或延续性动词 常见终止性动词与延续性动词(或状态动词)的对应关系如下come/go/arrive/get/reach/move------be in/at open-----be open die------be dead close----be closed become---be borrow---keep begin/start-----be on put on----wear leave-----be away (from) buy-----have fall asleep----be asleepend/finish-----be over catch a cold-----have a cold join the army----be in the army be a soldier join the Party----be in the Party be a Party member →My brother has been in the army for two years. →My brother has been a soldier for two years. 3.现在完成时中been to,gone to和been in/at been to去过某地,表示某人的一种经历,可以和once,twice,already,ever,never等连用. eg. She has been to Shanghai twice. (表示目前人在这里) gone to 去某地了,说话时某人已离开此地,在去某地的途中或已在某地, eg. She has gone to Shanghai。 (表示现在她人不在这里) been in/at 逗留在某地(已经一段时间).常和for ten days,since I came here等连用. eg. She has been in Shanghai since she moved there. 4.现在完成时和一般过去时的区别现在完成时所表明的是过去发生的动作对现在的影响,强调的是现在的情况,不可以和表示过去的时间状语yesterday,in 1991,three days ago last time,last night等连用一般过去时表明的是过去发生的事实,和现在不发生关系. 5.现在完成时中的 for 与 sincefor + 时间段 与延续性动词的现在完成时连用 since + 时间点/从句I have kept the library book for a week.= I have kept the library book since a week ago. 6. It is /has been +一段时间 + since 从句.自从某事发生已有一段时间了. eg. 在复合句中用作宾语的从句叫做宾语从句。宾语从句是初中英语中最重要的一种从句,它内容完整,句型结构较为复杂,主句和从句时态搭配要求严格,在中考试题中频频出现。而且学好宾语从句也可为到高中学习间接引语、主语从句、表语从句及同位语从句打下良好的基础。 宾语从句常由that引导,在口语中常省略。当主句中谓语动词是现在或将来时态时,从句中谓语动词不受主句中谓语动词时态的影响,按需要可以使用任何时态。 由连接代词或连接副词引导的宾语从句。 引出名词性从句的连词whether和if,在引出宾语从句时,用法和意义相同。但是只能引出宾语从句和不在句首的主语从句,而whether除了引出宾语从句外,还可引出主语从句、表语从句和同位语从句。 1.宾语从句在句中作及物动词或介词的宾语,从句放在主句之后,前后不用逗号分开。 2.引导宾语从句的词有: 连词that(在口语中that常可省略),if, whether,如: He knows that Jim will work hard. 连接代词who, whom, which等,如: Do you know who (whom) they are waiting for? 连接副词when, where, how, why等,如:Could you tell me how we can get to the station? 3.whether和if都有“是否”的意思,一般情况下两者可以换用,但在介词之后, 不定式之前,与or not连用,在句首或在引导表语从句,同位语从句时,只能用whether,如:I want to know if/whether the news is true. He doesn't know whether to stay or not? 4.宾语从句要用陈述句语序。 5.宾语从句一定要注意时态呼应,即:当主句谓语动词是过去式时,从句中谓语动 词也要用过去范畴的时态,但若从句陈述的是真理或客观规律,其谓语的时态仍用一般现在时,如: He asked who could answer the question. My father told me that the earth goes around the sun. 6.一个宾语从句只能用一个连词。 7.当主句谓语动词是think, believe等动词时,宾语从句的否定意义要放到主句中。另外,当主句主语为第一人称时,后面若接附加疑问句,那么附加疑问句的主语、谓语应与从句中的主谓语保持一致。如: I don't think he looks like his father, does he? 8.直接引语和间接引语也是宾语从句,直接引语是引述别人的原话,放在引号内, 不用连词联接;间接引语是用自己的话转述别人的话,通常用连接词与主句联接。 (1)陈述句变为以that引导的宾语从句,如: He said,“I'm happy.”[FY()[FY]]He said that he was happy. (2)一般疑问句变为if(whether)引导的宾语从句,如: He asked me,“Does his father know Mr Green?” ---He asked me if his father knew Mr Green. (3)特殊疑问句变为由who, what, where, how等疑问词(连接代词或连接副词)引导的宾语从句,如: He asked me,“Where is Mr Wang?” ---He asked me where Mr Wang was. 注意上述例句中连词、时态、语序等变化。

He says...→He says that he'll leave a message on the desk.特殊性:A:当do you think后接特殊疑问句转化成宾语从句时,句式结构应为引导词+do you think+陈述句语序。例如:When do you think he'll come back?当主句的谓语动词是think, believe, suppose, guess等时,而且主句的主语是第一人称时,反意疑问句要和从句保持一致,并且要注意否定的转移。例如:I think he'll come back soon, won't he?宾语从句的转化1.当主句的谓语动词是hope, wish, agree, choose, decide等带宾语从句时,而且主从句的主语一致时,这时从句可以简化成不定式结构。例如:We hope that we shall see you soon.→We hope to see you soon.当主句的谓语动词是know, learn, forget, remember, decide等后面带特殊疑问句转化的宾语时,主从句的主语也须一致这时从句可以简化成“疑问词+不定式结构”。例如:I don't know which sweater I should buy.→I don't know which sweater to buy当主句的谓语动词是ask,tell, show, teach等后面带双宾语时,从句的主语和间接宾语一致,且从句是由特殊疑问句转化来时,从句可以转化成“疑问词+不定式结构”。例如:Could you tell me how I can get to the park?→Could you tell me how to get to the park?
