《That's Not My Name听唱英文歌曲是一个轻松有效、被大量推荐的英文学习方法，但很多人不能真正运用其中的益处。比如有些朋友用其练习听力或者发音，但其实效果并不尽如人意；在单词、短语和口语语法的积累这一方面，听唱英文歌会很有帮助，但仍然不是其最重要的好处。听唱英文歌最大的益处，在于使英语口语更加自然流利。不同于中文口语所要求的字正腔圆，英语读起来更有节奏感，一般来讲名词、动词等重读，代词、连词、介词等轻读，有些词甚至一带而过。很多中国人因为发音习惯，将每一个单词，甚至每一个音都咬得特别清楚，这就导致了英文口语不够流畅自然。而一首歌在填词时，会考虑到词语和曲调、节奏是否搭配，于是我们就会发现把英文歌词唱出来会比直接读出来更容易掌握其中的节奏感。最有助于提升口语节奏感的歌曲类型就是rap了，但是一般语速较快、难度较大，可以放慢倍速跟唱。其次编辑推荐美国女歌手泰勒·斯威夫特，也就是霉霉的歌（很不要脸地到处安利女神），其原因首先是她的发音很清晰标准，其次她的语速较快一点，很适合练连读。英语歌曲的发音会很流畅，重音弱音，连读吞音会经常出现，经常听英语歌曲对英语的语感会很熟悉。我们在英语学习中，除了会正确的表达，英语的语音语调也很重要，这也是区别母语和非母语很关键的一点
