Step 1: Warming-up

1. Greetings.

Step 2: Presentation

1. Have students read the article quickly and summarize the main idea (China’s Internet population grows rapidly).

2. The teacher reads the passage. Have students listen to it carefully and focus on the pronunciations of the underlined words the. While listening, think about two questions.

3. Guide students to find the rules of pronunciation.
