总体构思

使一张手抄报在有限的空间内，既容纳一定的知识内容，版面设计又精彩又美观是很难的。对编者来说，组稿、编辑、排版、插图、书写，这是一个全神贯注、脑手并用的创造过程，是他的文化修养、生活情趣、精神风貌和艺术修养的综合体现。这对一个学生来说，无疑是发展个性才能的广阔天地。

办手抄报，从总体上考虑，首先要确立主题思想。一期手抄报，版面很有限，要办出特色，必须在内容上突出一个主题，做到主题突出，又丰富多彩。版面编排和美化设计，也要围绕着主题，根据主题和文章内容决定形式的严肃与活泼，做到形式与内容的统一。

各位家长朋友，大家好。本学期的英语学习已经过半，孩子们也渐入佳境。大部分孩子每天听音跟读和读词汇表的作业完成的相当出色，家长们也能够积极督促配合，签字表格上的细致与坚持可见一斑，让我们尤为感动。体现在课堂听讲和发言上，这些孩子的表现就特别突出，语音语调标准流畅，发言大胆积极，思维活跃，这些孩子已经初步养成了良好的英语学习习惯。经过一段时间家校联手督促，这些孩子将来会具备比较独立自主的英语学习能力。同时，很多家长依然对英语家庭辅导有很多困惑，那么如何辅导一年级孩子英语呢？家长们要注意以下几个方面： 一.明白低年级英语到底要学什么，要达到怎样的程度 一年级小学新起点英语教材都是英语口语的内容，包括日常用语、介绍他人等实用的单词和句型。要求会读、会认。日常的情景对话，要让孩子在真实情景中灵活运用所学的句型。可以让孩子看一看、想一想、说一说图中的人物及对话。歌或歌谣，要求学生会唱会诵。因此，家长要多与老师联系，以便及时了解各单元内容要求和孩子在校的学习情况，并且请老师提出孩子能够应用的学习方法的建议，以便参考老师提出的方法，结合孩子的实际水平和实际学习习惯，有的放矢的进行辅导。二.认真配合老师切实地完成好英语家庭作业，培养低年级孩子良好的学习习惯 对于低年级尤其是一年级学生，没有什么笔头家庭作业，但却有许多“听、说、读”的口头作业。因此，家长不能忽视这方面的内容，因为任何语言的学习都是建立在大量的听说、阅读上面，听录音可以锻炼听力，跟着录音读可以培养良好的语感。如果在英语学习的一开始就忽视这一方面，会很大程度影响以后的英语学习，因此，家长要坚持每天提醒、督促、检查孩子在家利用磁带或点读机复读机电脑光盘进行听、说、读、写的预习和复习，养成孩子良好的学习习惯，切切实实完成“听读说”的作业。这样看似简单的事，只要每天坚持，会有很大的收获，孩子的听力水平，说的能力会有明显进步。三.保持低年级孩子学习英语的兴趣 低年级的孩子对英语较容易感兴趣，大多数孩子在刚学习英语时，说说、唱唱特别起劲，但过了一段时间，新鲜感没了，也就不起劲了。有些孩子性格内向，不太爱表现。到了高年级仍能保持兴趣就更不容易了，因此家长应坚持将激发和培养孩子英语学习的兴趣放在首位。要善于引导低年级孩子保持学习兴趣，多鼓励, 少责备。不要给孩子施加太多压力。也不要吝啬自己的表扬，多对孩子说“Wonderful!”“不要害怕，你会越说越好的！”，这样能让孩子的学习兴趣和积极性提高。比如当孩子取得一点点进步时，要及时加以表扬和鼓励，这样孩子学习的兴趣会更高；当孩子受到挫折时，家长不应该发脾气训斥孩子，而应心平气和地帮助孩子寻找问题的原因，提醒孩子吸取教训吓经验；当孩子发音不准确时，不要骂孩子，更不要笑孩子，不要伤了他的自尊心，要鼓励他，帮他一起纠正读音，使他能够有足够的自信心去学习，而且相信自己能够学得很好。孩子若长期保持对英语的兴趣。对今后的学习有着不可估量的作用。四.为孩子营造一个自由轻松的英语环境 家长要有意识的为孩子创设英语环境。比如让孩子制作与家庭环境相适应的英语标签，在家里的电器、生活用品上贴上学过的单词，培养孩子成就感；或让孩子看些英语动画、英语电视节目，学唱简单的英文歌曲、诵读英语诗歌、童谣，自编英语chant等，激发孩子学习兴趣；还可让孩子看一些儿童英语画报或小学版的英语辅导报，学会看图拼读英语单词，看图朗读英语句子，看图说英语对话；提高英语学习效率。孩子沉浸在这样的英语氛围中，英语水平一定会得到很大的提高。五.敢于应用实践 除了在家里多用多练之外，在外出游玩的时候，也不放过任何让孩子实践的机会。碰到外国人时，可以试试去和他说几句话，让他当当陪练，比如用英语介绍一下自己什么的。在您的鼓励下，孩子会壮着胆子过去尝试，有了第一次尝试，孩子会对自己越来越有信心，每次新的对话都会让孩子兴奋无比，看着孩子兴奋的样子，您一定会由心底为孩子感到高兴。 愿家长们多一份宽容，多一份耐心，多一份思考，那么，孩子们的英语一片光明。 假期结束后，我们将择期进行英语期中闯关，孩子们做好准备呦！

The celebration of the new year is the oldest of all holidays. It was first observed in ancient Babylon about 4000 years ago. In the years around 2000 BC, the Babylonian New Year began with the first New Moon (actually the first visible cresent) after the Vernal Equinox (first day of spring). The beginning of spring is a logical time to start a new year. After all, it is the season of rebirth, of planting new crops, and of blossoming. January 1, on the other hand, has no astronomical nor agricultural significance. It is purely arbitrary. The Babylonian new year celebration lasted for eleven days. Each day had its own particular mode of celebration, but it is safe to say that modern New Year's Eve festivities pale in comparison. The Romans continued to observe the new year in late March, but their calendar was continually tampered with by various emperors so that the calendar soon became out of synchronization with the sun. In order to set the calendar right, the Roman senate, in 153 BC, declared January 1 to be the beginning of the new year. But tampering continued until Julius Caesar, in 46 BC, established what has come to be known as the Julian Calendar. It again established January 1 as the new year. But in order to synchronize the calendar with the sun, Caesar had to let the previous year drag on for 445 days. THE CHURCH'S VIEW OF NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS Although in the first centuries AD the Romans continued celebrating the new year, the early Catholic Church condemned the festivities as paganism. But as Christianity became more widespread, the early church began having its own religious observances concurrently with many of the pagan celebrations, and New Year's Day was no different.
