电影的刚开始就看到了冷锋为了救队友而违抗命令击毙了恐怖分子，然后却意外的进了战狼特种部队，然后在演习的过程中，他的小队长被雇佣兵炸死了，然后战狼特种部队就接到命令要在六个小时内找到这些雇佣兵报仇，以表明“烦我中华者，虽远必诛”的决心。在后面就是战狼部队和雇佣兵的战争，经过角逐，最终战狼特种部队胜利，并且冷锋还抓住了毒枭。
