Dear editor,There has been a heated discussion in my neighborhood about whether people should keep pet dogs or not. Yet opinions of raising pet dogs vary from person to person.Let’s focus on the for side first. Some claim that there are many advantages in keeping pet dogs and they think it’s a good idea to keep pet dogs. They can make people’s life more interesting and relaxing. For a child, a dog is his best playmate. For the young, a dog is their most loyal friends. For old couples, a dog is their partner and can help them get away from lonely life. However, others strongly object to feeding pet dogs. They complain that dogs leave their wastes everywhere. What’s worse, they may attack people sometimes and even transmit some diseases!In my opinion, people do have rights to have a dog, but how to get on well with others properly is also very important. The owner of the dog should pay enough attention to his little friend and make efforts to the harmoniousness of the society.
