去脱口秀大会，是一个有点艰难的决定，有朋友不太希望我去，他们担心我被消费。有我的粉丝告诉我，她一晚上没睡觉，觉得怎么能上那种节目，影响我地位。每个人的观念不一样。我觉得去一下挺好，跟新演员有一些交流。我一开始就没抱着比赛的心态去，上去讲一段，作为一个惊喜选手，该惊的也惊了，该喜的也喜了，讲完就撤了。李诞让我去那边（晋级区），原本我是不知道的。

综上所述，我想说的是黄西确实称得上脱口秀的重量级前辈，因为确实有这么一个实力，只不过现在已经不是巅峰期了，那么黄西去脱口秀大会是不是自降身份呢？在我看来，答案是否定的，因为黄西就没打算来这个节目参赛，只是准备过来作为一个惊喜选手，讲一段就撤。但是没想到的是，李诞却让黄西参赛。
这样一来，黄西就成了栏目的一个参赛人员，要去和这么多的新人同台竞赛，这完全的违背了黄西的初衷，本来只是来表演一场，现在李诞却不顾黄西的面子和地位让他参赛，这就在无意中，让黄西的到来变成了自降身份。怎么说也是脱口秀的前辈，真的太不尊重了。所以最后直接退赛了。
