这些词在英语中都是虚词，大部分情况下不需要翻译出来。如：我该走了。I must go now. 快点儿，否则，我们要迟到了。Hurry up ,or woe will be late.至于你所说的“乖儿，宝贝儿”，在英语中常译为my baby,my heart 等。

初中英语教学有几个常用句子的主谓怎么保持一致一直很令人纠结，为了一劳永逸，我为大家查找并确认了以下几组例句，孩子在作文中可能用到，但不必担心在中、高考英语试题中出现，佶屈聱牙的东西出题老师避之还来不及呢！Relax!
1. “我最喜欢的……是……”，比如只说一种动物或一种水果，建议用动物或水果作主语。
Dogs are my favorite animals . （animal是可数名词，此处用复数）
Apples are my favorite fruit . （不区分水果种类时，fruit为不可数名词）
2. “我最喜欢的……是……和……”，此时，主语和表语可以互换位置，不存在单复数无法一致的疑虑。
My favorite animals are dogs and cats .
Dogs and cats are my favorite animals .
My favorite fruits are apples and strawberries .（区分种类时，fruit为可数名词，加s变复数）
Apples and strawberries are my favorite fruits .
3. 容器或计件名词+of+物质名词时，容器或记件名词的单复数决定be的数。过去我们觉得pair和set为特殊情况，其实并不特殊。
A box of apples is enough.
There is a box of apples in the kitchen.
There are two teaspoons of honey in this cup.

二、在英语里，新信息通常出现在句子后部，There be结构的存在就是为了避免新信息出现在句首。所以， There is a box of apples in the kitchen要比A box of apples is in the kitchen更地道。
三、第4项中的例句Two teaspoons of honey is enough不太符合我们过去的认知，所以我分别咨询了一名英国外教和一名美国外教，他们都说用is。
