Wuhan is located in the eastern part of the Jianghan Plain, located in east longitude 113° 41′ -115° 05′, latitude 29 °58′ -31° 22′, at the eastern end of the Xinzhou District Liu he Township general hill, West Caidian District Township chenggong yaowan village ,south in the District of Jiangxia ,husi Township Liujunbao village, north to Huangpi District Cai dian the country tianjia. By the changjiang River and its largest tributaries Hanshui River collect here, therefore the separation of Wuchang, Hankou, Hanyang three commonly known as the Wuhan city. Wuhan West and Xiantao, Honghu is connected East, with Ezhou City, Huangshi city border, South, and Xianning city is connected, North ,and Xiaogan city are, the shape as a butterfly from west to East . In the Chinese economic geography circle, Wuhan is in a central location, is the" heart " of China's geographical, it was known as the " thoroughfare of nine provinces ".武汉位于江汉平原东部，地处东经113°41′-115°05′，北纬29°58′-31°22′，东端在新洲区柳河乡将军山，西端为蔡甸区成功乡窑湾村，南端在江夏区湖泗乡刘均堡村，北端至黄陂区蔡店乡下段家田村。 因长江与其最大的支流汉水交汇于此，故而隔江鼎立的武昌、汉口、汉阳三地被俗称武汉三镇。武汉西与仙桃市、洪湖市相接，东与鄂州市、黄石市接壤，南与咸宁市相连，北与孝感市相接，形似一只自西向东的蝴蝶形状。在中国经济地理圈内，武汉处于优越的中心位置，是中国地理上的“心脏”，故被称为“九省通衢”之地。
