snowman
雪人（拼音：xuě rén；英文：a snowman）指用自然雪或人造雪累积，堆砌而成的人形雪堆，在世界各国儿童中广泛流行，是一种特别的娱乐方式。堆雪人是下雪天才能享受的一项有趣的活动。 当然雪必须要下得够大，才能积累足够的雪球，气温要够低，才能使积雪不会迅速融化。
2015年2月17日，日本630人堆出1585个雪人， 打破吉尼斯纪录。

雪下成啥样才能堆雪人？
关键就看雪量够不够、雪有没有黏性。雪量，至少是大雪。一般大雪降雪量在5-10毫米，换算成积雪能有5厘米，甚至更厚。
我国常年冬季平均10毫米的降雪量对应积雪深度增加7厘米，但积雪受气温影响明显，这个换算关系仅适用于平均情况，个例差异很大。如果雪很干燥蓬松，10毫米的降雪量对应的积雪深度可以达到20厘米甚至30厘米。
除了地表温度，影响降雪转为积雪效率的因素还有降雪的干湿度，也就是雪的黏性。雪的黏性就在于雪的含水量，即存在干雪和湿雪之分，而湿雪才是能用来堆雪人。湿雪养成的关键是近地面温度略高于0℃，秋末冬初之际比较常见，“鹅毛大雪”便是如此了。这样的雪落在衣服上，常会融化一些，留下一条“湿痕”。
湿雪黏性大，堆雪人、团雪球再合适不过了。
