英语中级口译考试大纲

英语口译考试又将到来,首次接触口译考试的考生们反映有些无所适从。以下是我整理的英语中级口译考试大纲,希望可以帮助大家!

一、考试目的

根据大纲要求,检查考生是否具备本大纲所规定的各项语言技能。凡通过上海市英语中级口译岗位资格证书考试(含笔试和口试)的考生,可获得由上海市教育委员会、上海市成人教育委员会、上海市委组织部、上海市人事局统一印制的`上海市英语中级口译岗位资格证书。

二、考试的性质和范围

本考试是一种测试考生单项和综合语言能力的尺度参照性标准化考试。考试分两个阶段,第一阶段为笔试,第二阶段为口试。只有通过笔试的考生方有资格参加口试。笔试包括听力、阅读、英译汉和汉译英;口试包括口语和口译。

三、考试时间与命题

上海市英语中级口译岗位资格证书考试每年举行两次,分别于3月和9月举行笔试,并择时举行口试。笔试和口试由上海市外语口译岗位资格证书考试委员会负责命题与实施。

四、考试形式

本考试根据口译特点,以测试口译水平为主要目标,从听、说、读、译(笔译、口译)等四个方面对考生语言运用能力进行全面测试。测试力求科学、客观、可行。考试采取客观试题与主观试题相结合,单项技能测试与综合技能测试相结合的方式。在第一阶段的笔试中,客观试题约占试卷总分的35%,主观试题约占试卷总分的65%;第二阶段口试全部是主观试题。

五、考试内容

第一阶段笔试分四个部分,依次是:第一部分:听力;第二部分:阅读;第三部分:英译汉;第四部分:汉译英。总考试时间为l50分钟,其中听力45分钟,阅读45分钟,英译汉30分钟,汉译英30分钟。第二阶段口试分两个部分:口语与口译,考试时间为25分钟左右。

目前在国内口译类考证主要有四类,上海口译资格证书、商务口译、全国翻译专业资格证书、全国翻译证书。而其中,较为上海地区认可和熟知的是上海口译资格证书、商务口译和全国翻译专业资格证书。同样是口译证书,这三类考证在定位和考试的侧重性上各有差别,当然在冷热程度上也有所不同。

1.上海口译资格证书:更像水平认证的考证 上海口译资格证书包括中级和高级口译两类,所以人们对这个证书更通俗的称呼是“中高级口译”,目前在上海推出已经11年,在上海乃至长三角地区具有相当的影响,并有逐步向全国蔓延的趋势。对于上海口译资格考证,昂立进修学院口译项目部主任郑俊华评价说:“走在了全国的前列”。

从获得证书的人群就业情况来看,很少有人把翻译作为职业目标,而是更多的作为提升英语能力的一种方式,作为对原有专业状态下的有益补充。郑俊华说:“事实上,不少例子也说明,拥有中高级口译证书,具备一定翻译能力的人更容易从工作中脱颖而出”。

郑俊华认为,口译考试主要考察两方面的内容,一是对于词汇的运用能力,要求对词汇从单纯认知达到熟练运用的程度;二是考察各方面的能力均衡及反应的速度。参加中高口译培训的学员必须具备对英语充满兴趣、能够保证一定的时间投入、肯努力学习等素质。

2.商务口译:以培养翻译人才为目标 “语言不等于翻译,熟悉语言不表示具备翻译的能力,这是完全不同的概念。”谈到商务口译的时候,上海外国语大学高级翻译学院院长、上海会议和商务口译考核办公室主任柴明明教授表示,我们希望能够培养最接近专业翻译的准翻译人才。 这话听起来有点绕口,因为柴明明认为,除了会议同传等专业的翻译人才,更需要的是那种在日常的所有与商业有关的活动中的翻译。

商务口译的目的就是“培养能够满足日常工作需求的翻译人才”。这里的商务是一个更广泛的概念,包括商贸、金融投资、环境保护、城市发展、人力资源、新技术应用、甚至文化艺术等多个方面。 据介绍,目前商务口译证书也是唯一被世博会认可的口译证书,凡是通过商务口译的人,即可进入世博人才数据库,所以为2008年世博会培养翻译人才也是他们人才培养的重要部分。

商务口译一般要求报考人员具备专业四级、大学英语六级以上英语水平,通过考试的人员可以获得由上海职业能力考试院和上海外国语大学颁发的商务英语口译证书。

3.全国翻译专业资格证书:职称评定的标准 全国翻译资格证书是由国家人事部统一规划,中国外文局组织实施的全国翻译专业资格。全国翻译资格证书是职称评定体系中的一个环节,建立翻译人员资格考试制度后,翻译和助理翻译专业职务不再通过评审,而是由二、三级口译和笔译替代,从而改变了过去以单一评审模式对翻译人才进行评价的方式。

但目前全国翻译资格证书在口译考证发展比较成熟的上海影响力还不高,不过由于其是全国性的考证,且其考试体系与上海口译证书类似,所以今后也许会呈现上升趋势。 全国翻译资格证书分为一级、二级、三级。一级(高级)口译、笔译要具有较为丰富的科学文化知识和较高的双语互译能力,能胜任范围较广、难度较大的翻译工作,能够解决翻译工作中的疑难问题,能够担任重要国际会议的口译或译文定稿工作。

二级(中级)口译、笔译要具有一定的科学文化知识和良好的双语互译能力,能胜任一定范围、一定难度的翻译工作。三级(初级)口译、笔译要具有基本的科学文化知识和一般的双语互译能力,能完成一般的翻译工作。
