语文学科是学习其他学科的基础。学好语文，不但对于学好其他学科十分必要，而且对于将来从事工作和学习会产生深远的影响。”这是大纲对语文学科的明确定位。从这“工具”和“基础”两词中我们足以了解学好语文的重要性。然而，现实生活中又有多少因语文不过关而影响了学习和工作的情况呢？有的同学理科学得很不错，而只因为文科太差而名落孙山。有的人喜爱数学，可面对复杂的应用题却一筹莫展。有的人工作做的非常出色，让其总结一下经验，却说不出个一、二、三。 从中、高考，到工作中的继续学习；从工作上、学习上的工作总结，到社会工作中的大量信息的传递与交流,都离不开语文这个工具，都有赖于这个基础。那么我们如何从现在就认真打好这个基础，掌握好这门工具呢？靠每天一节的语文课？谈何容易。现时学习中又不允许我们用太多的时间去学语文。那么，有没有一种能把课内与课外的活动结合起来；语文学习与其他学科相互促进的方法呢？这时同学们的表现很活跃，有的在闪动着眼睛思考着；有的则用期待的目光企盼着老师的答案。这时，我并没有说出答案，而是趁势发问：“你们想不想当编辑，做记者”？这时同学们都说：“想”！这时我把办报的想法告诉他（她）们：“你们通过办手抄报不但能尝试着做编辑，做记者，而且还能当主编，自己排版设计。这可是个极富挑战性的活动，相信你们只要能坚持办手抄报，你们不但能提高语文学习的水平，排版、设计等综合能力也会得到锻炼和提高。”这时，同学们各个跃跃欲试，从他们企盼的目光中似乎在闪着一个个的问号，什么是手抄报？2、 典型引路积极性调动起来了，下一步的任务就是具体指导如何办手抄报的方法，我的做法是：（1）让学生先独立办一期手抄报，专题自拟，自行选材，自行设计，自行抄写。可参考《学习报》、《北京日报》，也可以发挥自己的想象。时间在两内周完成。（2）将收上来的手抄报选择出几份较好的，进行认真指导，让他们反复修改。经反复修改后的手抄报基本符合要求了，我便通过点评的形式把每份报纸的优点都展示给同学们，并在点评过程中较详细的把手抄报的基本格式讲解给大家，回去再实践，经过这样的反复实践，同学们基本掌握了办报方法。（3）要求具体化，手抄报规范化。在大部分学生掌握手抄报的基本格式后，为了提高手抄报的质量，我于是进一步要求。A、手抄报要做到：主题鲜明，内容集中，标题新颖。根据中心内容拟定一个醒目的标题。如：“以复习旧知识为主，可拟为《复习指导报》，如是语文知识方面的内容可拟为《语文学习报》，力求新颖。B、版面布局合理。布局合理主要指，版面安排匀称，主次分明，版块横、竖参差，插图位置合理。整个版面要给人以美观舒适的感觉。C、书写要规范。书写必须用钢笔或圆珠笔。要求字迹要清晰、笔顺要规范，大小要适当（以三米左右能看清为宜）。3、 评展激趣促提高为了使手抄报的质量不断提高，也为了进一步激发同学们的积极性，我坚持每期都认真看，认真点评，择优展览。点评。点评的原则：以表扬优点为主。点评的内容：从形式到内容，从整体布局到每个版块的安排设计，从选材到书写。办手抄报体现着一个学生的综合能力，不可能通过一两期的实践就能提高，有一个循序渐进的过程。在这个过程中老师耐心的指导，热情的鼓励，是克服困难坚持办下去的动力。所以点评中，我毫不吝惜的表扬同学们的每一点进步，每一款精妙之笔，实在没有可表扬的，只要按时交了我也表扬。这样同学们都能以平和愉快的心态去听取老师的点评，学习别人的长处，欣赏自己的进步，盘算着如何完善自己的报纸。展出。展出的原则：优中选优，兼顾不同层次。经过两三期的点评，同学们的取长补短认真实践之后，在以后的手抄报里，每期都不乏形式优美，内容充实的好作品出现。对于这些作品，我除了认真点评给以表扬之外，还要在班上展出，供大家观摩学习。也有的同学尽管他们的作品不是很好，但却是他（她们）尽其所能而为之。这些作品我们也适当的给予展出的机会。展出的范围一般以1/2或1/3为宜。
