化学性质
1、与低级乙酸酯类相比，不易水解；但在苛性碱存在下，水解生成乙酸和异戊醇。
2、乙酸异戊酯在氮气流中于700℃通过玻璃棉时，分解为3-甲基-1-丁烯及少量的丙酮。
3、将氨和乙酸异戊酯的混合物通过热至490~500℃的氧化铝时，生成乙腈、异戊醇、乙烯和氢等。
4、乙酸异戊酯在乙醚溶液中与碘化镁、四氯化钛生成结晶性的分子化合物。
5、乙酸异戊酯也能发生醇解、氨解、酯交换、还原等一般酯类的共同反应。
储存注意事项
储存于阴凉、通风的库房。远离火种、热源。库温不宜超过37℃。应与氧化剂、酸类、卤素分开存放，切忌混储。采用防爆型照明、通风设施。
禁止使用易产生火花的机械设备和工具。储区应备有泄漏应急处理设备和合适的收容材料。
