对。Ti是在根瘤土壤杆菌细胞中存在的一种染色体外自主复制的环形双链DNA分子。它控制根瘤的形成，可作为基因工程的载体。Ti是英文肿瘤诱发（tumor-inducing）的缩略式。

Ti质粒 Ti plasmid 为植物根癌土壤杆菌（Agrobactertium tumef-aciens）菌株中存在的质粒，其特定部位与植物核内DNA组合来表达信息，使植物细胞肿瘤化。即此质粒既有在细菌中表达的基因，又有在高等植物中表达的基因，这是很独特的。该质粒其大为90－150×106道尔顿，其与植物DNA结合的部分（称为 T－DNA）约15×106道尔顿。在此处有支配肿瘤化及维持肿瘤状态和产生opine的基因。在T－DNA以外的区域，存在着对质粒的传递性、opine的透过和分解等（在细菌中表达的性状）的基因。通过opine所诱导的接合，可被传递于土壤杆菌属（Agrobacterium）和根瘤菌属（Rhizobium）细菌。另外对于T-DNA部分从细菌细胞移于植物细胞的机制并不清楚。已知有四个类群，根据opine的种类而分别称为章鱼〔肉〕碱型、胭脂碱（nopaline）型、农杆碱（Agropine）型和琥珀碱（Succinamopine）型。
