俚语及其由来~ 英语中的成语俚语为数颇多，有的源自《圣经》，有的出自古典文学名家如莎士比亚、乔叟等的名著，有的源自古希腊或罗马的神话，有的来自拉丁语或法语等等，在这些成语的后面都蕴藏着一段饶有趣味的故事或典故。这些成语俚语为文章或话语增色不少，但它们其中有不少的表面词意与其特定含义相差甚远，所以掌握成语的来龙去脉是恰当运用的前提d's years 多年，很久 布鲁尔说，这个引喻来自一个古老的传说：从前没有人看见过死驴子。另有人说，这条成语是从d's ears变来的文字游戏，因驴的耳朵是很长的。有时也可以见到如下的用语：d's years ago.
