机场，亦称飞机场、空港，较正式的名称是航空站。机场有不同的大小，除了跑道之外，机场通常还设有塔台、停机坪、航空客运站、维修厂等设施，并提供机场管制服务、空中交通管制等其他服务。

机场也是贸易网络上的一个连接点，允许各种物品以及战略资源与其他的机场贸易。

在二十世纪中期，飞机已经成为世界上主要的长程运输方式。而现在，几乎每个大都会都有至少一座机场，而且有容纳旅客及货物的设施，并提供了降落飞机的加油及维修服务。在19世纪40年代初期，大量的飞机被用来作战也使得空军基地被大量建造。现在全美有多达400座的军用机场可供军队来当做基地以及维护中心。

机场一般分为军用和民用两大类，用于商业性航空运输的机场也称为航空港（Airport），我国把大型民用机场称为空港，小型机场称为航站。
