ladies and gentlemen,boys and girls,

I am chinese. i am proud of being a chinese with five thousand years ofcivilization behind. I‘ve learned about the four great inventions made by ourforefathers. I‘ve learned about the great wall and the yangtze river. I‘velearned about zhang heng and I‘ve learned about zheng says the yellow rivercivilization has vanished?I know that my ancestors have made miracles on thisfertile land and we‘re still making miracles. who can ignore the fact that wehave established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devisedour own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites intospace, and that our gnp ranks no. 7 in the world? We have experienced theplunders by other nations, and we have experienced the war. yet, based on suchruins, there still stands our nation----china,unyielding and unconquerable!

I once came across an american tourist. She said, china has a history offive thousand years, but the us only has a history of 200 years. Five thousandyears ago, china took the lead in the world, and now it is the us that isleading. My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that we‘restill a developing nation, but it doesn‘t mean that we can despise ourselves. Wehave such a long-standing history,we have such abundant resources,we have suchintelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. We have

Reasons to say proudly:we are sure to take the lead in the world in thefuture again, for our problems are big,but our ambition is even bigger, ourchallenges are great, but our will is even greater.

I am chinese. I have inherited black hair and black eyes. I have inheritedthe virtues of my ancestors. I have also taken over responsibility. I am sure, that wherever I go,whatever I do,I shall never forget that I am chinese!

Honorable Judges,fellow students:

Good afternoon!

Recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. The college students arethe beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education atextraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and supportourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Willwe be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of ourcountry?

The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, whichwould cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The collegestudents I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We helpeach other clean the dormitory,go shopping and bargain together, and take parttime jobs to supplement our pocket money.

The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect theneed for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeplyfor each other,we cherish freedom,we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Lastweek, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order tomake a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

As college students,we are adolescents at the critical turning point inour lives. We all face a fundamental choice:cynicism or faith, each willprofoundly impact our future,or even the future of our country. I believe inall my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a littlebit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challengeand take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume newresponsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to makeour world a better place. I believe in our future.

thank you!

Thank you very much for your attention

Hello, ladies and gentlemen! It is my honor to share my topic with youhere. And my topic is Time Is Valuable.?? Time flies. The article cong cong ofZhu Ziqing also tells us time is rare. We all know that:Time is life,at homewe have parents advisement,at school we have teachers advisement. But whotreasures time as life?

Now let’s enjoy a story:One day a young man visited great educatorBanjieming. When Banjieming opened the door,to the young man’s great surprise.:his house was very dirty. “I’m sorry,It’s too dirty. Wait a minute please.Banjieming said and closed the door.

One minute later,Banjieming opened the door again and said:e in please .This time what the young man saw was a clean and clear sitting room.

“OK,You may go now. Banjieming said,“But I,I havn’t remit to you”. Theyoung man asked. “Isn’t it enough? Looking at the room,“ Banjieming said. “Youhave been here for one minute.” “One minute? One minute,Oh I know. You tell mea truth:We can do many things in a minute.” The young man left withsatisfaction.

The story is short but meaningful. Just like the story says:

one minute isn’t long. But our life is made of such minutes. In fact onlytreasure time, will you succeed, only treasure time, will you realize yourideal. Only treasure time will you achieve what you want.

We should make good use of time to study hard or to do something meaningfulfor yourself. So,we should plan the time to study and relax, especially at usewe have more free time at home,so that we can use that time to do a lot ofthings.

However, how can we plan the time? There are different ways for differentexample, somebody like to study in the morning, and relax in the the contrary, somebody like to relax in the morning, and study in the body even think the besttime to study is in the erent ways for different all the ways have one thing inmon.

That is the need for practical action. If you want to change a difficultsituation,if you want to change yourself,if you want to make good use of timeto study, you must put into not, your plan will be not meaningful.

So dear fiends, please treasure every minutes of your life. Only like thiswill you have an excellent future. Thank you very much.

I promise,i will be a brave girl.

I promise,i will keep walking in sunshine.

Time, was a strange thing,it makes all sickness and death. When there issomething born of time, from that moment the beginning of time has passed. Howto we do? We can only seize the opportunity to seize life,to do the masters oftheir own destiny.

I have thought about a problem, what is time? I think that time is of themind in life when the runway, and it is responsible for the pletion of a missionof a subdivision.

Can not recover the past, the past is a good time regardless,or painfuland have to stay in our memory, our experience has enriched and matured ourthinking. Occasionally, the memories, can regulate our emotions, purify ourhearts. Has been really obsessed with old things is not desirable because it ismore important now.

I read a Soviet writer Nicholas? Alec? Ostrovsky's book "How to MakeSteel",I was moved to this section of the article so that impressed me:"Lifebelongs to the people only once. one's life should be spent this way:when helook back,he does not regret the years wasted, not because of the shame . Thus,in death,he will be able to say:'I own a whole life and energies arededicated to the world's most magnificent cause - the cause of humanity andthestruggle of liberation. " Yes ah life time were more valuable it,especially thejuvenile time. From now on,I have to cherish.

I've heard such a story:The pressure in the rubble and stones following agrass,it is a longing for the sun to reach it the will of Health,no matter howheavy stones above, between the rocks and stones How to narrow the gap, italways twists and turns, the tough and up through to the ground. Its root to thesoil under the long shoots to the ground it stands, this is an irresistibleforce of life,to prevent its stones were thrown to the. Xiaocaohu a vitality sogreat that people can not help but sigh.

Yes ah,life will be like this, like the grass,no matter whatcircumstances, are making progress will never bow,the only way of life is thebest, the most meaningful. Time is of the essence, time is gone forever, and wemust treasure this good time, study hard, grow up,the effectiveness of themotherland. It is also the so-called "one inch by one inch gold time,gold-inchinch time. Let us cherish the time with it!

Good afternoon ,ladies and gentlemen!

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.

First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”

Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2015 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.

Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”

For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2015 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.

At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

Good afternoon ,ladies and gentlemen!

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! To begin with ,I want to ask a question .Does everybody dream a good dream last night? Actually ,today I want to talk about dream with you. Of course, What I want to talk is not a dream you have last night, but a dream—— about life.

Everyone has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage, and we need dreams to support us. Dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners(水手),we can chart our course by them. With the dream,we have a direction, with a direction, we were no longer confused. With the dream, there is hope,With hope, we have the strength to fight.

But I know, life is tough, and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims, and we may feel depressed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always comfort us, encourage us ,and support us to move ahead.

Young!Fortunately, I am young now. Just due to it, I know that nothing is impossible.I firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way.

I can't realize my dream,it result from that I haven't work harder enough and I won't find other excuses. If no people believe you, you can make it to prove that you are right. If you think the god haven't blessed you and there is no truth here, you can become the god and create the truth.

"My breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow, my sword is famous in Kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains." At some time in the past I also had am bitious words and I had some achievements. Each achievement results from my hard work. I always believe that "If you want to have more achievements than others, you must work harder."

In some extent, the dream is the hope. If you can insist on doing something, the victory will come.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today. Let's---move---out!

Thank you for your listening!

It is the duty of every citizen to make the country rich and powerful (to make the country rich and strong is...). in order to accomplish this object one must be patriotic (love his country). i consider this an unchangeable truth.

How can a student love his country (be patriotic)? i find my answer very simple and clear. he must study hard and store up knowledge so as to serve his (the) country in the future. if every student can do according to what i said, the country will certainly be rich and powerful.

Good morning everyone!

My name is Jie Lidi. Today, my topic is: “Confidence”. As we all know, failure is the mother of success. But What I want to say is that success is the child of confidence. Without confidence, things can become negative and uncomfortable. I remember, during an English class, I wanted to make a sentence using the word "listen". I should have said: "I listen to the Voice of America" but I was too nervous and said "I listen to the Noise of America". Everybody in the class laughed. Since then I wanted to train myself to be confident. Now, confidence makes me brave and courageous. Take this speech for example. I wanted to enter this competition, but I would feel very embarrassed if I made mistakes. Just then, I thought about my dream. My dream is to become a scientist when I grow up. If I am not confident, how can I overcome difficulties I face? If I am not confident, how can I succeed in developing myself in the future? I will do it! Today, I am making a speech in public and I feel proud and confident!

I am sure, in the future, with confidence, I will go forward-always forward. Confidence will make my dreams come true!

Thank you!

We all have a common home. she provides us with enough food, enough water and enough living room.We get everything from the nature to live better, but we donnot do anything to protect her. how the air is polluted;the earth is poisoned; water is unsafe to drink and rubbish is burying the civilization that man owns.

Our environment is being polluted faster than nature and man's present efforts can prevent. time is bringing us more people, and more people will bring us more industry. So many trees will be cut down, and more large cities will be set up. lots of waste material, in return,is produced and harms the environment.so some experts declare that the balance of nature is being upset,so that the very survival of man is in danger.

How can we solve this problem?the answer is that we must control the speed of growing people, forbid everyone to cut down trees and pour waste water into rivers and so on.

If we achieve this, the environment will turn very clean, and our future will be full of happiness.

When I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. Following I will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job. Once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” I will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process I will combine learning with doing. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed-we hold theses truths to be self-Oevident, that all men are created equal. I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, sons of former slaves and sons of former slave owners will be able to sit together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. i have a dream today! When we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and hamlet, from every state and city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children-black men and white men , jews and Gentiles, Catholics and Protestants-will be able to join hands and to sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, “free at least ,free at last . Thank God Almighty, we are free at last.” But now,the environment becomes worse and worse. As you know, there's no enough clean water for people. So many of them lose their lives because of water. In a lot of countries, people have to cut trees for living. So there's nothing to keep water from running away. Also we have polluted the land, the river and the air. Some people may say:we are the masters of nature. Now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control.the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings.Facing all the disasters made by ourselves,we have the responsibility to deal with the problem.we must do something useful to protect our environment. We can plant trees and take good care of them.We can save the water and ask our parents to do so.We can't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them for recycling. If we take good care of our earth today,it will be more beautiful tomorrow.

2009 grievesoulLadies and gentlemen, People remain puzzled in spite of their great effort to understand the endless questions, so they invented the all-embracing word---“predestination”. In order to be more precise, different combinations were derived from it: love predestination, sinful predestination, evil predestination, and kind predestination etc., hence we have the sayings like: “Predestination will definitely bring you together despite the great distance while without predestination, you’ll never know each other even though you are standing fact to face” “A distant couple is tied up with the thread of predestination” and even the phrases and expressions like “the god of marriage”, “predestination without luck”, “luck without predestination”, “Coming across each other is a kind of predestination”, “Enemies are bound to meet on a narrow road”, “They shall not marry each other unless they are predestined lovers”. If people still can not find answers, they turn to “reincarnation” for help. Lin Daiyu is always in tears just for repaying for the water Jia Baoyu had given her when she was a plant in her previous life in A Dream of the Red Mansions. In fact, the so-called “predestination” is often a kind of coincidence or chance encounter, even a kind of accident. If you don’t meet this person, you’ll surely meet some one else. But people insist on adding some colors of emotions or superstition, thus generating various religious factions, the main theories of which are no more than that of “reincarnation”, “heaven and hell” and “the ever-lasting soul” etc.But does anyone know anything about his previous life or his after life? What could he do even if he knew them? If he can’t grasp the present life, what’s the benefit of commenting on the visionary after life? Giving up today is the same as giving up tomorrow, for they are closely connected. How absurd it is to work like the horse or cattle in the present life in order to be above others in the next life.Have you ever seen emperor Qinshihuang reincarnate? Have you ever heard of Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty going into another life? Where is now Monk Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty (What we know is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda)? Where is the Monkey King (The Flower and Fruit Mountain does exist, though)? And where can we find those great emperors such as Yao, Shun Yu and the influential philosophers like Confucius, Laozi and Zhuangzi? How many heavens do we find? Are they also divided into the oriental and the occidental world? Is God a Chinese or westerner? Which is the greatest religion among Buddhism, Daoism, Christianity, Catholicity and Islamism? All religions advocate doing good deeds and not killing, but why do they keep contending against each other, even fighting and killing among themselves? Is the paradise the same one in all religions? There’s only one sun in the sky, and there should be only one emperor in a country, but do all religions believe in the same God, or do they have different gods of their own? If all of us expected God’s help, wouldn’t God be too busy and too tired?Does God respect science? If not, why does he allow computers and telecommunications to run rampant? If it is God who created human beings, then doesn’t He feel out of control of what the human being are doing now (the nuclear weapons and bio-chemical weapons, etc.)?We human beings have an origin, and is it the same with God? Does God get married? Is God hereditary, or is it the same ever-lasting one? We have all those questions but who can answer them?.Predestination needs us to strive for; friendship needs us to maintain; good will needs us to treasure and future needs us to create. There is no Savior, nor Goddess of Mercy who once saved people in the past but cannot do anything to help the people at the present. The world is developing too fast.People have to work together and associate with each other. Talking about predestination, it’s just a kind of explanation about what has happened, and I’m afraid nobody can predict it before hand. From ancient times till the 1980’s, once getting married, the couple had to stick to each other for their whole life. Can we say it is because of their life-long predestination? It is just because of the marriage system. In the western countries, life-long marriage is rare. Can we say it is because their predestination makes it so? It is actually the result of human nature. The color of love could be attached to predestination, but not the color of superstition. Predestination is a lovely word which we should treasure and respect. In the present world, we should always follow the win-win or multi-win policy, instead of being single-handed. In order to achieve success, we must gain mass support instead of indulging in self-admiration. We might as well call the communication, the cooperation, the common concerns and the common aspirations of human beings “predestination”.

Amnesty mobilises thousands of people who have never been tortured or imprisoned for their beliefs to act on behalf of those who have. The power of human empathy, leading to collective action, saves lives, and frees prisoners. Ordinary people, whose personal well-being and security are assured, join together in huge numbers to save people they do not know, and will never meet. My small participation in that process was one of the most humbling and inspiring experiences of my life.

Unlike any other creature on this planet, humans can learn and understand, without having experienced. They can think themselves into other people’s places.

Of course, this is a power, like my brand of fictional magic, that is morally neutral. One might use such an ability to manipulate, or control, just as much as to understand or sympathise.

And many prefer not to exercise their imaginations at all. They choose to remain comfortably within the bounds of their own experience, never troubling to wonder how it would feel to have been born other than they are. They can refuse to hear screams or to peer inside cages; they can close their minds and hearts to any suffering that does not touch them personally; they can refuse to know.

I might be tempted to envy people who can live that way, except that I do not think they have any fewer nightmares than I do. Choosing to live in narrow spaces leads to a form of mental agoraphobia, and that brings its own terrors. I think the wilfully unimaginative see more monsters. They are often more afraid.

What is more, those who choose not to empathise enable real monsters. For without ever committing an act of outright evil ourselves, we collude with it, through our own apathy.

One of the many things I learned at the end of that Classics corridor down which I ventured at the age of 18, in search of something I could not then define, was this, written by the Greek author Plutarch: What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality.

So given a Time Turner, I would tell my 21-year-old self that personal happiness lies in knowing that life is not a check-list of acquisition or achievement. Your qualifications, your CV, are not your life, though you will meet many people of my age and older who confuse the two. Life is difficult, and complicated, and beyond anyone’s total control, and the humility to know that will enable you to survive its vicissitudes.

Now you might think that I chose my second theme, the importance of imagination, because of the part it played in rebuilding my life, but that is not wholly so. Though I personally will defend the value of bedtime stories to my last gasp, I have learned to value imagination in a much broader sense. Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and therefore the fount of all invention and innovation. In its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power that enables us to empathise with humans whose experiences we have never shared.

One of the greatest formative experiences of my life preceded Harry Potter, though it informed much of what I subsequently wrote in those books. This revelation came in the form of one of my earliest day jobs. Though I was sloping off to write stories during my lunch hours, I paid the rent in my early 20s by working at the African research department at Amnesty International’s headquarters in London.

There in my little office I read hastily scribbled letters smuggled out of totalitarian regimes by men and women who were risking imprisonment to inform the outside world of what was happening to them. I saw photographs of those who had disappeared without trace, sent to Amnesty by their desperate families and friends. I read the testimony of torture victims and saw pictures of their injuries. I opened handwritten, eye-witness accounts of summary trials and executions, of kidnappings and rapes.

Many of my co-workers were ex-political prisoners, people who had been displaced from their homes, or fled into exile, because they had the temerity to speak against their governments. Visitors to our offices included those who had come to give information, or to try and find out what had happened to those they had left behind.

I shall never forget the African torture victim, a young man no older than I was at the time, who had become mentally ill after all he had endured in his homeland. He trembled uncontrollably as he spoke into a video camera about the brutality inflicted upon him. He was a foot taller than I was, and seemed as fragile as a child.

Now, I am not going to stand here and tell you that failure is fun. That period of my life was a dark one, and I had no idea that there was going to be what the press has since represented as a kind of fairy tale resolution. I had no idea then how far the tunnel extended, and for a long time, any light at the end of it was a hope rather than a reality.

So why do I talk about the benefits of failure? Simply because failure meant a stripping away of the inessential. I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was, and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work that mattered to me. Had I really succeeded at anything else, I might never have found the determination to succeed in the one arena I believed I truly belonged. I was set free, because my greatest fear had been realised, and I was still alive, and I still had a daughter whom I adored, and I had an old typewriter and a big idea. And so rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.

I was given the job of escorting him back to the Underground Station afterwards, and this man whose life had been shattered by cruelty took my hand with exquisite courtesy, and wished me future happiness.

And as long as I live I shall remember walking along an empty corridor and suddenly hearing, from behind a closed door, a scream of pain and horror such as I have never heard since. The door opened, and the researcher poked out her head and told me to run and make a hot drink for the young man sitting with her. She had just had to give him the news that in retaliation for his own outspokenness against his country’s regime, his mother had been seized and executed.

Every day of my working week in my early 20s I was reminded how incredibly fortunate I was, to live in a country with a democratically elected government, where legal representation and a public trial were the rights of everyone.

Every day, I saw more evidence about the evils humankind will inflict on their fellow humans, to gain or maintain power. I began to have nightmares, literal nightmares, about some of the things I saw, heard, and read.

And yet I also learned more about human goodness at Amnesty International than I had ever known before.

You might never fail on the scale I did, but some failure in life is inevitable. It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.

Failure gave me an inner security that I had never attained by passing examinations. Failure taught me things about myself that I could have learned no other way. I discovered that I had a strong will, and more discipline than I had suspected; I also found out that I had friends whose value was truly above the price of rubies.

The knowledge that you have emerged wiser and stronger from setbacks means that you are, ever after, secure in your ability to survive. You will never truly know yourself, or the strength of your relationships, until both have been tested by adversity. Such knowledge is a true gift, for all that it is painfully won, and it has been worth more than any qualification I ever earned.
