一、培养目标：生物科学专业培养具备生物科学的基本理论、基本知识和较强的实验技能，能在科研机构、高等学校及企事业单位等从事科学研究、教学工作及管理工作的生物科学高级专门人才。

二、学科要求：该专业对生物科目要求较高。该专业适合对自然科学感兴趣，生物科学的学生就读。

三、考研方向：学科教学(生物)、生物化学与分子生物学、生物学、植物学。

四、主要课程：动物生物学、植物生物学、微生物学、生物化学、细胞生物学、遗传学、发育生物学、神经生物学、分子生物学、生态学等。

五、就业方向：生物科学专业的学生毕业后可以到科研机构或高等学校从事科学研究或教学工作，也可以到工业、医药、食品、农、林、牧、渔、环保、园林等行业的企业、事业和行政管理部门从事与生物技术有关的应用研究、技术开发、生产管理和行政管理等工作。该专业适合公务员及升学考研。

山东省政府下辖的鲁东大学位于山东半岛东部美丽的海滨城市烟台，环渤海、黄海。

烟台是首批14个对外开放的沿海城市之一，环境优美，气候宜人，市民友好，经济繁荣。

烟台不仅被联合国国际葡萄酒和葡萄城誉为“最佳居住城市”，而且以其快速发展、美食、安全和旅游而闻名。

鲁东大学坐落在山东省烟台市，是一所以文理工为主体、多学科协调发展的省属综合性大学。2012年，成为首批“山东省应用型人才培养特色名校”、服务国家特殊需求博士人才培养项目单位。

截至2018年5月，学校校园占地3450亩，校舍建筑面积103万平方米；固定资产总值23．36亿元，教学科研仪器设备总值3．6亿元；图书馆藏书250．3万册、电子图书102万种。

英语：Located in Yantai City, Shandong Province, Ludong University is a provincial comprehensive university with arts and technology as the main body and multi-disciplinary coordinated development. In 2012, it became the first batch of "Shandong Province Applied Talents Training Characteristic Famous School" and doctoral personnel training project unit serving the special needs of the country.

In 2014, the approved post-doctoral research mobile station of pedagogy became one of the two universities in the province with bachelor's degree, master's degree, doctor's degree and post-doctoral teacher education training system. Wang Meng, former Minister of culture and famous writer, commented on Ludong University as an outstanding scholar.

Founded in 1930, the school has gone through such historical stages as Shandong Second Rural Normal School, Jiaodong Public School, Laiyang Normal School, Laiyang Normal College, Yantai Normal College, Yantai Teachers'Further Education School and Yantai Normal College.

In 2001, Shandong Jiaotong School (Yantai), formerly directly under the Shandong Provincial Communications Department, was incorporated into the school in 1978. In 2006, the school was renamed Ludong University. In 2007, the level of undergraduate teaching was rated as "excellent" by the Ministry of Education. Teacher Education College was formally established in 2014, located in Penglai Campus.

2001年，原直属山东省交通厅的山东省交通学校（烟台）（建校于1978年）并入。2006年，学校更名为鲁东大学。2007年，学校本科教学工作水平被教育部评为“优秀”。2014年正式成立教师教育学院，设于蓬莱校区。
