学雷锋纪念日是每年的3月5日。

The anniversary of learning from Lei Feng is March 5 every year.

1963年3月5日，毛泽东主席为沈阳部队某部因公牺牲的英雄战士雷锋的题词“向雷锋同志学习”在《人民日报》发表。

On March 5, 1963, Chairman Mao Zedong's inscription "learn from Comrade Lei Feng" for Lei Feng, a hero who died on duty in Shenyang Army, was published in the people's daily.

此后，全国广泛开展学习雷锋的活动。

雷锋，原名雷正兴。在中国人民解放军某部运输连任战士、班长。

Lei Feng, formerly known as Lei Zhengxing. In a transport department of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, he was reappointed as a soldier and monitor.

1962年8月15日 在辽宁抚顺市望花区不幸因公殉职，年仅22岁。

On August 15, 1962, he died on duty in Wanghua District, Fushun City, Liaoning Province. He was only 22 years old.
