yours sincerely, is typically employed in english when the recipient is addressed by name (e.g. Dear john), and is known to the sender to some degree, wheres yours faithfully is used when the recipient is not addressed by name, (i.e. dear sir/madam) or when the recipient is not known personally by the sender.

kind regards, and especially best regards, is meant as a way of addressing close friends or loved ones or a close working relationship. a common error is to say best regards or kind regards in formal letters which perhaps shows a misunderstanding of the term.

英文书信的格式:

1. 信头:指发信人的地址和日期,写在信纸的右上角。

2. 称呼:指对收信人的地址和称呼。写在信头之下,从信纸的左边开始。写信给熟悉的人,如王明一般用Dear Wang Ming 或Dear Mr. Wang。

3. 信的正文:指信的主体部分,从称呼的下一行到结束语前,第一段顶头写。

4. 结束语:指正文下面的结束客套话。常用Yours sincerely, Yours ever, 或者Yours 或Yours truly,Truly Yours等。

5. 签名:指发信人的签名,写在结束语的下面。

注意:地址是从小到大,日期可以是日-月-年,也可以是月-日-年。例如:

1、 信头(Heading)

指发信人的姓名(单位名称)、地址和日期,一般写在信纸的右上角。

2、 日期的写法:

如:1997年7月30日,英文为:July 30,1997(最为普遍); July 30th,1997;

3、称呼(Salutation):

是写信人对收信人的称呼用语。位置在信内地址下方一、二行的地方,从该行的顶格写起,

在称呼后面一般用逗号(英国式),也可以用冒号(美国式)。

1.书信结构

英语书信结构一般有以下几个部分组成:

1)信封(envelope)。英语的信封和中文的一样,有三部分组成,即发信人地址、收信人地址和邮票。只不过英语信封的格式除了邮票所贴的位置(信封的右上角)和中文的一样外,英语信封上要写的发信人和收信人的地址和中文的大不一样。发信人的地址应写在信封的左上角,收信人的地址应写在信封偏中右偏下处,如下:

英文书信的格式:

不要用红墨水写信。因为用红墨水写信,按人们传统习惯来说,表示绝交之意。如果你用红墨水给人家去信,那是表示不友好,不懂得这点,会出笑话。
