tendency 主要指因为内在因素、性质或习惯而产生的一种行为或行动的 “倾向”，存在可能性但最终未必一定导致某个行为或行动的出现。一般在个人或个别事件上多数只能用 tendency 而不能用 trend. trend 是从多个方面不同层次的因素中同时出现往某一方向发展的 “趋势”，尽管在某个单一元素中并不见得很明显。属于比较大范围的层次，比如经济、商业、时尚界这些总体面上所呈现的。

With the increase of China’s population, housing problems are becoming more and more apparent. Many people complain that their houses are too small to live in, and we can see in some pool families, six or seven family members live in one room. Therefore, the living conditions can’t meet their-needs.There are many difficulties in solving housing problems. First, it’s impossible to put all the space into building houses. Secondly, the population of China increases year by year and with the improvement of our living standard, we need more room to relax ourselves in.Various solutions have been put forwvard. I think the most important and efficient way is to control the population. Also, we can build more high buildings to provide more living space. I believe the housing problems will be solved.
