英语宾语从句that

that引导的宾语从句用来陈述事实，that本身无词义，在从句中不作任何成分，在口语中常常省略。例如：I guess somebody else has borrowed it．我猜是别的人把它借走了。I'm afraid you'll have to wait．恐怕你得等一下。注意：从句前面有插入语时，引导词 that不能省略；如果有两个并列的宾语从句，第二个从句的引导词that也不能省略。例如：She may tell you，for example，that she is interested in Chinese．例如，她可能会告诉你，她对汉语感兴趣。Mr Read said（that）he taught English in a middle schoolin Beijing and that he came from Australia．里德先生说他在北京的一所中学教英语，他来自澳大利亚。

宾语从句中that一般情况可省 ,但也并不是任何情况下都可以省略.具体如下：宾语从句1． 定义：用作宾语的从句叫宾语从句.2． 构成：关联词+简单句从属连词that.如：He told us that he felt ill.他对我们说他感到不舒服.一.that可省略的情况：I know (that）he has returned.我知道他已经回来了.(that省略)注:宾语从句中that一般情况可省 ,但that在引导宾语从句时也并不是任何情况下都可以省略.二.that不可省略的情况：1.在主语从句、表语从句、同位语从句中(除宾语从句),that 不能省.①That the seas are being overfished has been known for years.(主语从句)②The truth is that nobody knows who invented eyeglasses.(表语从句)③We have to face the fact that land is fragile.(同位语从句)2.在it作形式宾语的宾语从句前,that不可省.They found it difficult that they would finish their work in two days.3.在由and或or所连接的两个宾语从句时,第一个从句中的that可以省;而第二个从句中的that不能省.It is depressing to think (that) life is purposeless and that evolution has no higher destination.\x0d4.在agree,argue,hold,learn,observe,remark,suggest,indicate,conceive这种比较正式的书面语的谓语动词后,that不可省略.

在通常情况下，引导宾语从句的连词that 是可以省略的。如：I think (that) Tom will pass the exam. 我想汤姆考试会及格的。但在以下几种特殊情况，引导宾语从句的连词that 不能省略：1. 当为了强调把that引导的宾语从句可位于句首时，that不能省略。如：That he ever did such a thing I simply don’t believe. 我简直不相信他曾做过这样的事。2. 当that从句与动词被其他词或从句隔开时，that一般不宜省略，以免造成语义混乱。如：They told us once again that Tom was right.他们又一次告诉我们说汤姆是对的。3. 当两个或多个that引导的宾语从句并列使用时，即使省略了第一个从句的引导词that，后面的that也不可省略。如：He said (that) he couldn't tell you now and that you will understand. 他说他不能现在告诉你，你是会理解的。

宾语从句用that来引导时候，就是陈述句变来的宾语从句，也就是说把陈述句变成宾语从句的时候，需要用that来引导，在口语当中that可以省去的。
