licence 和 franchise的区别
1、定义不同
licence是品牌授权、版权许可证的意思。
如 driver licence驾驶证
franchise是指特许经营、经销权的意思。
如Windows is one of the franchise brands and products for Microsoft.
视窗是微软的特许经营品牌和产品之一。
2、使用范围不同
licence一般是指政府机构批准的特许经营，比如烟草专卖。
franchise 通常指加盟经营或授权经营，最常见的就是企业品牌，如麦当劳。
3、授权内容不同
licence是授权方将自己的品牌授权给经营商，由经营商按约定的条件开发、生产、销售授权品牌的产品。
franchise的授权内容一般有两种：商品销售特许经营和经营模式特许经营。授权给经营人的是产品或服务甚至包括整套的经营模式。
4、侧重点不同
licence较为注重版权。
franchise则侧重于特许二字。

有三种特许经营（Franchising Model)模式，licensee是特许经营的被授权人，英语里，可以说franchising licensee，或者franchisee。Businesses that Use a Franchise Model：There are three types of business concepts that use the franchise model. In exchange for a pre-determined royalty structure, the Franchisor provides initial and ongoing training, sales and marketing support, and many other services and assistance to aid in the franchisee's business success.
