英语中的连词分类

英文连接词是连接英文单词的词，如also,and等。英语有486,000个左右的单词，而连接词却只有70个左右，它们总是非常高频率的出现在各类文章、对话、电邮等英语实际沟通中。

英语写作连词的分类有：

1、并列连词：And（和），or（或），either......or（或者...或者...），neither......nor（既没有...也没有），not only......but also（不仅……而且）, as well as（以及）。

The weather is mild today; it is neither hot nor cold.今天天气很温暖，不冷也不热。

People who are either under age or over age can not join the army.年龄不到或超龄的人都不得参军。

He has two children, and both of them are naughty.他有两个小孩，都很调皮。

The criticisms are founded on facts as well as on convictions. 这些批评是基于事实和信念。

2、因果连词：For（因为），so（所以），thus（因此），accordingly，consequently（结果），as a result（结果）。

You are supposed to get rid of carelessness, for it often leads to serious errors.你们一定要克服粗枝大叶，因为它会引起严重的错误。

There happened to be a policeman on the corner, so I asked him the way.恰好拐角处有一个警察，我就向他问路了。

3、转折连词：But（但是）、yet（可是）、while（而，却）、however（然而）。

At first he was a little shy, but now he acts more natural.  开始他有些腼腆，但现在他表现得很自然了。

It is strange, yet it is true. 那真是怪事，然而却是事实。

Some people waste food while others haven’t enough. 有人糟蹋粮食，但也有人食不果腹。

4、举例连词：As（正如），such as（比如），like（就像是），take......for example，for instance。

Do avoid potentially contentious subjects such as religion, sex or politics.一定要避免可能引起争议的话题，如宗教、性和政治。

They will be concerned to do the right thing — to dress properly, for instance.他们需要注意行为是否恰当——比如说，穿着得体。

5、总结连词：In a word（总之），to sum up（总结），in brief = in short，in conclusion（总体来说），all in all。
