Welcome To Cradletown Part 1‘‘Mum, Why are we leaving home again?’’ I said. ‘‘I told you Max, we’re moving to Cradle-town. I got a new job and ’’ my mum said. ‘‘But why, mum? I have friends that need me, you known before I meet them their where like geeks in the chess club and I change them to kids on top of the social grapevine‘‘. ‘‘I’m sure there will do fine without you Max’’. ‘‘What about Dad, mum? ’’ Silent filled the car for a few seconds while she thinks of my dad and mum arguing that night. ‘‘ He’ll do fine’’ she said. We both finished talking for the rest of the trip and I stare once again at window sadly remembering my old neighborhood. We finally arrived at our new neighborhood in Cradletown. As I get out of the car I stand in awe staring at our new house. ‘‘Wow, big house’’, I said. ‘‘All right Max, bring your stuff and lets take a look’’. She opens the door and I run straight to my bedroom eager to see what it looks like. ‘‘I’ll see you at lunch, honey’’ she shouted. I opened my room door; I dropped my stuff and landed straight ob the bed. I opened my bag pack and saw a picture of my friends & me back in high school. I felt kinda excited at first to see if I could make more friends. I got to school from the school bus and I entered the school entrance only to find a huge hallway with my fellow students. I walked away to find a sitting area. I sat on a separate table from most of the students. I then noticed that everyone was staring at me. It felt strange cause I thought it was because I was new. I was just about to eat my lunch when suddenly a group of high school jocks and some girls appeared out of nowhere. ‘‘Hey boy, what are you doing at our table’’ said the leader. ‘‘ Oh I’m sorry, I thought…’’ ‘‘ You thought wrong, geek and now scram’’. He throws me out of the table and threw my food with me. The boys laughed as I fall flat on my face. ‘‘What’s you’re name, kid’’ said the leader.‘‘ Mmm, my name is Max, I’m new’’ I said. ‘‘Well, Max, you better watch who you make friends with cause if you get in my way again you’re understand’’. ‘‘Yes sir’’. I said shaking. He then drops me down to the floor and he walks back to his seat. ‘‘Don’t worry about Dustin, he won’t bother you unless he gets angry and wants to take it out on you’’ said a girl standing next to me, ‘‘Hi my name’s Amy’’. ‘‘Hi, what’s his problem, now I have no lunch’’ I said angrily. ‘‘Don’t worry about it, let me take through the social grapevine’’ she said. ‘‘ But first let me show you some of my friends, Donny and Nick’’.
