A PIGEON, oppressed by excessive thirst, saw a goblet of water painted on a signboard. Not supposing it to be only a picture, she flew towards it with a loud whir and unwittingly dashed against the signboard, jarring herself terribly. Having broken her wings by the blow, she fell to the ground, and was caught by one of the bystanders. Zeal should not outrun discretion. The Goat and the Goatherd A GOATHERD had sought to bring back a stray goat to his flock. He whistled and sounded his horn in vain; the straggler paid no attention to the summons. At last the Goatherd threw a stone, and breaking its horn, begged the Goat not to tell his master. The Goat replied, "Why, you silly fellow, the horn will speak though I be silent." Do not attempt to hide things which cannot be hid.

One day a famous painter painted a picture and put it on exhibition with the tag line, "Not for sale". But, it was so beautiful a painting that whosoever(无论是谁) attended that exhibition asked the painter to sell that painting for whatever amount he would ask for it. But everytime, he said, "I'm extremely sorry but I can't sell this for any amount. I will sell it to only that person who will understand its value." Then, an old man came to that painter and said, "I want to buy this painting and here is the price in this small box for it." The painter took that box and opened it. In it, there was a paint brush and colors. And, he gave that painting to the old man. All the other people surprisingly asked the painter, "Why did you sell it for a paint brush and few colors to this old man? We were offering you huge amount for this painting. Are you crazy?" The painter said, "If you noticed the painting, there is a man who is teaching a kid to paint with so much dedication. So, the man in the picture is this old man and that kid is me. He is my teacher who taught me to paint and whatsoever I am today just because of his dedication and blessings. And, the real value of this painting is just a paint brush which is given by my teacher as this paint brush is more valuable than your wealth. With this paint brush I can paint many more paintings." All people understood and respected the bonding of a teacher and his student.  Hats off(致敬) ! A teacher always gives his best wealth to his student in the form of knowledge, wisdom and art with an expectation that his student will optimally(最佳) utilize it.
