（一） 扩大词汇量，为自主学习能力的培养奠定基础。 英语底子差的学生最重要的是缺少词汇量，更糟糕的是，他们的学习自信心普遍不足，并且畏惧单词记忆，因此，从高一开始，我便着重训练他们单词记忆的方法，“联想记忆法”是我两年来颇有成效的单词记忆方法。所谓“联想记忆法”就是由一个单词的学习联想到另一个或几个单词的心理活动，并不断回忆以前所学的知识，形成反复记忆，以便加深印象。在平时的训练中，我们先后采用“词语接龙”，（由最后一个字母引出新单词）如：Accent（口音）------take ------earn(挣钱)-----net(网)------temporary(暂时的)---youngster(年轻人)Demand(需要) ----- need ------Deduction(推理)------Terrified(非常害怕的)----- Raft(木筏)“猜猜它是谁”“选出与众不同的单词”等游戏训练方法，深受学生欢迎，并且由教师的主导作用逐渐演变成以小组为单位，自己选词，互相竞赛的良好氛围。如在“猜猜它是谁”的活动中，每学完一个模块的单词或词组，我们便进行比赛，由学生轮流上黑板，先写出本模块的重点词汇，一边写一边带领学生朗读，并指出汉语意思，然后再一个个擦掉，让学生们回忆刚刚擦掉的单词，看哪个学生回忆的最多，并评出各组的“单词记忆王”。在平时的训练中，我有意把基础较差的学生推上讲台，让他们领读并充当裁判。这种训练慢慢克服了他们对英语的恐惧并激发了他们学习的兴趣。“选出与众不同的单词”也是我的训练方法之一，这个方法主要是以小组为单位，把学过的两个或多个模块的单词加以总结归纳，例如在“customer, bargain, kitchen, discount, sale, receipt, goods, supermarket ”等词语中，划掉一个不是同类或意思差距较大的单词，再以此类推，直到最后两个最相似的单词。同时，也可以变化形式，如“supermarket ”，让学生联想“cookies, hamburgers, beans, vegetables, cupboard, maize, blouse, underwear, stockings, saucer ”等等，又如“music ”，学生可以总结与之相关的词汇：“gospel, DJ, disco, hip hop”或形容“music”的词汇：“dynamic, marvelous, outstanding, top-class, rhythmic….”此种方法极大地激发了学生学习英语的兴趣，从高一开始，几乎每个学生都有一本厚厚的“单词记忆宝典”，上面记录着从第一册至第七册的各类词汇，如“运动类”“文学类”“友谊类”“科技类”等，进入高二学期，学生们开始由单纯的词汇总结转向句型句式的总结，从而为写作打下基础。现在，学生们的总结不仅仅局限在书本中，还包括平时的练习和书刊报纸中的摘要，“每日一名言”“佳篇佳句”已成为学生们的最爱。 (二） 在课堂上运用多种学习策略，培养学生自主学习的意识和能力从大的方向来说，高一阶段，主要培养学生自主学习的意识；高二阶段，主要是加强学生自主学习的能力，使学生在高三阶段能够形成有效的学习策略和方法。因此我所在的英语组根据路教授的指导，由张长友带领全体教师进行了针对课题训练的“DIY-Learning”的自主学习实验。实验的理论依据是：The scientific method of learning English（ 用科学的方法学习英语），即：1. Observe how a word or structure is used. (观察语言现象)2. Try to make a simple rule to explain how the word or structure is used.（做简单归纳）3.
