不太清楚“音乐形式”是什么意思。这里主要讲“音乐剧”。音乐剧英文原文是Musical Theatre，字面意思来说，就是“用音乐表演的戏剧”，所以音乐剧实际上是属于戏剧范畴的，和话剧属于同一类。在音乐剧的世界中心美国纽约百老汇和英国伦敦西区，音乐剧参加的评奖，都是戏剧类的如托尼奖或者奥利弗奖。音乐剧在国内，常会和音乐/配乐话剧以及歌剧搞混。主要区别是：话剧是通过对白独白来讲述剧情表达情绪的，有些配乐话剧，会有一些歌曲表演，但是歌曲表演是烘托气氛的，并不进行主要的叙事或者抒情，类似于电影里的背景歌曲/音乐；歌剧虽然是通过演唱来表演剧情的，但是歌剧讲究的是唱腔，类似中国的地方戏曲。所以去欣赏歌剧，需要对声乐知识有所了解，对欣赏者要求有点高了。同时，歌剧表演，基本上用的是美声唱法。而音乐剧，则是通过演唱为主的音乐表演手段来讲述剧情的发展，表达情绪，对唱腔要求不是十分严格，可以根据剧情需要，来安排不同的角色采用不同的唱法甚至音色，比如著名的Cats里头，有些猫用的是通俗唱法，有些猫则是摇滚的，有些猫则带一些美声。除了演唱以外，舞蹈也是音乐剧里常见的音乐表演形式，著名的West Side Story里，有一首讲述“喷气帮”帮众们如何谋划和“鲨鱼帮”的火拼的歌曲，就是连唱带跳的。如果非要说音乐剧和“其他音乐形式”，就得明确，音乐剧是“剧”，得有剧情的开端、发展、高潮和结局，而其他的如演唱会、独唱、合唱等，则大部分不具有这方面的表达，重点在演唱上。深入一点：一个合格的音乐剧演员，应该是演、唱、舞、有时候甚至还得是杂技手段都会的结合体，缺一不可。
