Ben: Oh, that sounds interesting! But I know April is the hottest month of the year there.
本：喔哦，听起来好有意思!但是我知道四月是那儿一年中最热的月份。
Clara: Yes, that's true, but there's a water sprinkling Festival from April 13 to 15.
Clara：是呀，确实是这样，但是4月13至15号那儿有泼水节呀。
Ben: I wonder if it is the same as the water sprinkling festival of Dai people in Yunnan Province.
本：我想知道它是不是和云南省傣族人的泼水节一样。
Clara: Yes, I want to know. This is the Thai new year. People will take to the streets and splash water on each other.
Clara：就是，我也想知道。这时候正是泰国新年，人们会走上街头互相泼水。
Ben: cool! But why did they do that?
本：酷！但他们为什么这样做呀？
Clara: because the new year is to clean up and get rid of those bad things, and then you will have good luck in the new year.
Clara：因为过新年就是要清理并赶走那些不好东西，然后，你就会在新的一年里获得好运。
