1. C(be) at/on the point of doing sth = be about to do sth 正要去做某事其后经常接when引导的并列句(非时间状语从句),意思是“某人正要做某事,就在这时...”。2. Clook up 向上看/抬头看;(生意、某人的情况等) 好转/改善;拜访(某人); 查找此题考查它的“好转/改善”之意。3. Dwhat he does为主语从句,其中does为该从句的谓语;第二个也用助动词does,表示强调,且其后的动词用原形。因为主语what he does为单数,所以借助于助动词does来对谓语please进行强调。再如:He does love you. 就是 He loves you.的强调表示句型。不过此题貌似A也勉强可以,因为以what引导的主语从句,可能表示单数概念,也可能表示复数概念。此题没有绝对把握,sorry!4. Din spite of = despite,可都做介词,引导宾语the fact,排除B;anyhow意思是“无论如何/不管怎样”,not at all不会这样去修饰形容词boring,排除AC。somewhat = a little,意思是“一点点”,做程度副词,用于修饰形容词/副词表示程度。
