笔者也想过这个问题，汉族是世界人口最多的民族，英语是世界最流行的语言，而最流行的语言却没有对人口最多民族的确切称呼。按照英语的构词法，如果以Han作为构词基础，我认为衍生出以下两个单词，1：Hannian 形容词：汉人的，汉国的（臆想）名词：汉人，汉语相对应又可以衍生出Hannia，英语音译可以是汉尼亚，意译可以是汉国（臆想）。2：Hannese形容词：汉人的，汉国的（臆想）名词：汉人，汉语相对应又可以衍生Hanland，英语音译可以是汉兰，意译可以是汉国（臆想），也可以由Hanland，衍生出Hanlander，即汉人，或Hannish，即汉人，汉人的，汉国的（臆想）。笔者个人倾向于第二种，也就是Hannese作为汉人汉族的英语称呼，汉国（臆想）可以使用Hanland，英语民族名称与国名都是相对应的。历史上有不少其他民族被汉化，那么汉化该怎么说？英语中已经有一个单词chinesize，名词为chinesization，如果以Han为构词基础衍生的话，可以是hannization或hannesize，名词可以是hannize或hannesization。以上纯属个人虚构，不知网友是否认可！？
