高粱和甜杆不是一个东西。它们之间没什么关系，就是长得像。甜杆其茎、根部和和甘蔗、玉米外形相似，但是以青绿色为主，穗和高粱相似。食用方法和甘蔗类同。较多产于江苏南通、上海崇明岛、浙江绍兴等江南地区以及陕西安康、汉中等陕南地区。在夏秋季成熟。剥去坚硬的外壳后咀嚼茎干饮取汁液、味甜。其茎含糖量虽不如甘蔗高，但水分高于甘蔗，其茎可用于轧糖、酿酒，茎还可以用来养猪。和高粱相似的穗可用来制作扫帚。东三省多见，学名甜芦黍。和制作笤帚的略有区别，制作笤帚的叫糜子。甜杆紧穗，糜子散穗。学名叫糖高粱(学名Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench，英文sugar sorghum)也叫芦粟、芦穄、芦黍，甜秫秸、甜秆、甜高粱和高粱甘蔗。望采纳，谢谢!
