主要栖息于海拔2000米以下的热带、亚热带常绿阔叶林和混交林，尤其喜欢在疏林草地、河岸或地边丛林以及林间草地和林中空旷的稀疏草原或有灌木丛、竹丛的开阔地带，从平原地带到高山地带的森林、灌丛中。喜欢在靠近溪流处生活。
