Region 是地区 可以是一个很大的范围。比如说Asia-Pacific Region 亚太地区， Middle-East Region中东地区，North-East东北地区 South-China 华南地区Region 可以是跨国地区，也可以代表无法用国家来表述的地区，比如台湾。在国际表述中，台湾是不能在country类别下找到的，只能去region去找。如果一定要放在一起，所属类别是Countries/RegionsCommunity的范围就很小了，一般是指社区，和特殊的文化族群。指社区的时候，大小和咱们中国居委会管辖范围差不多。如果指族群的话可以用Chinese community这个是在海外常用的。neighborhood就是邻居。你家旁边住的那几位就是。

1、表达含义不同
region可以表示（界限不明的）地区，区域，地方；行政区；（一国除首都以外的）全部地区，所有区域。
community指社区；社会；团体；社团；界；共享；共有。
neighbourhood则表示街区；城区；（统称）某街区（或城区）的居民；所在地；邻近的地方。
2、表示范围不同
作为地区、社区等区域表达时，region表示的区域范围最大，比如the Arctic/tropical/desert, etc. regions 北极、热带、沙漠等地区；regions of North America 北美地区。
而community和neighbourhood表达的区域范围较小，都可以指（同住一地的人所构成的）居住区，通常来说，范围大小为region>community>neighbourhood，但neighbourhood指城区时表示的区域范围会广于community。
3、发音不同
region读音为/ˈriːdʒən/，community读音为/kəˈmjuːnəti/，neighbourhood的发音为/ˈneɪbəhʊd/。
