重申的英语

最近读到“How spanking （打屁股）may affect brain development in children” 来自哈佛的一项研究主题。其中spanking的形容词还常这么用：a spanking new全新 at a spanking pace快速New有时不足以形容崭新的程度，大家可以用： 1.brandnew: 崭新、彻头彻尾新 不过这个短语和brand（品牌）其实没什么关系，意思就是指“非常新”。 怎么用： I just  bought a brand new smartphone : 我刚买了部新智能手机。 A brand new car : 新车、完全没开过 想要更强调？ 2. brand spanking new : 语气比brand new 更引人注意！买了新东西，特别是新车，常这样形容： Look at her brand spanking new car! 看她的新车！“新”人怎么说？1.newbie 新手、菜鸟 怎么用： I'm a newbie when it comes to computing. 我是计算机方面的新手，完全不懂计算机专业。 I'm a complete newbie.我是零基础、完全是新手 2.Noob 菜鸟，和newbie相比，这个词有点贬义，意思是不仅是新手，而且还不虚心学习 3.职场新人、或者第一天到新公司，怎么说？ I'm new here.我是新来的 4. newcomer 新来的人、刚加入的人，常用在聚会上 We have some newcomers today.今天来了些新人, newcomers 还可以说成new blood. 既然说到新人，还有newlyweds: 刚结婚的新人 novice 新手；初学者 5.new and noteworthy 值得关注的新事物 6.out with the old, in with the new : 旧的不去新的不来。（辞旧迎新） 不含“new”，却很“新”的词 1.latest 注意，这个词是最新的意思, 不是最晚 the latest and greatest  一句押韵短语，形容最新、最好的 2.fresh 新鲜 New day, fresh start New year, fresh start New home, fresh start fresh off ...(the boat) 初来乍到（以前都坐船，刚下船就是初来乍到） renewUK [rɪˈnjuː] US [rɪˈnuː] v. 重新开始；中止后继续；使继续有效；延长…的期限；重申；重复强调 newal anew 3.hot 也和“新”有关系： hot off the shelves 新鲜出炉、刚到店里 hot off the press  最新最热的新闻 4.绿色也是“新”： green 青涩 I'm a little green.我是新人，请多关照。 5.spick and span 这个短语强调非常干净、焕然一新，也许不是新的，但是保养得很好，就像新的一样： The house is 10 years old but it looks spick and span. 房子有10年了，但还像新的一样 May in fact be the first steps of a journey.实际上可能正是人生旅程的开端。 stay current in your field.保持与时俱进。时俱进 a novel way novelUK [ˈnɒvl] US [ˈnɑːvl] n.
