WSY-recording

There go在这里和there be意思相当,但there be可以有人称、数、时态变化,而there go只用go,没有变化。 There goes a man in the street. (意思中仍然有“走”)There go a man. (不再有“走”这个意思)There went with us a men. There go the bell.

13, There ____ the last piece of cake and the last spoonful of ice cream.

这题的答案之所以选B,是因为这句话的主语是the last piece of cake and the last spoonful of ice cream ,换句话说,这个主语是一个复数形式,因此与复数相一致的谓语只能是 go。
