如果是指前者后者，应该对应的是former和latter空间上的的是front和back

不是的，latter的意思是【后者】。I agree with the latter意思是【我同意后者】former是【前者】比如: I like apples and oranges, but I prefer the latter. 我喜欢苹果和桔子,但我更喜欢后者。或者: I like apples and oranges, but I prefer the former. 我喜欢苹果和桔子，但我更喜欢前者。
