一、热干面
热干面（Hot dry noodles）是武汉最出名的小吃之一，有多种做法，其采用碱水面，并以食油、芝麻酱、色拉油、香油、红油，细香葱、大蒜子、萝卜丁、酸豆角、卤水汁、生抽、醋等为辅助材料。
热干面色泽黄而油润，味道鲜美，由于热量高，也可以当作主食，营养早餐，补充人体所需的能量。
热干面与山西刀削面、两广伊府面、四川担担面、郑州烩面并称为中国五大名面，是颇具特色的过早小吃。
二、非遗申请
武汉热干面已形成了产业化生产，武汉热干面项目已正式推荐参评第四批中国国家级“非遗”，并正式申报中国国家级“非遗”。
2014年2月，武汉的热干面正式申报国家级“非遗”，同一批申报第四批国家级非物质文化遗产保护的，还有重庆火锅等。
热干面最能代表武汉人性格和文化的兼容并蓄，细腻而粗犷，是武汉民俗和饮食文化中不可缺少的一部分。蔡林记热干面省级代表性传承人王永中呼吁保护该项目。该项目已正式推荐参评第四批国家级”非遗“。
