呵呵.这是一个很好的问题.在英语单词的发音上,英语远远没有我们的普通话里的汉语拼音那样统一.很多时候一个单词多种读音都是可以接受的.这种情况尤其反应在i,ə,U上.尤其是i和ə这两个音.英语中很多元音在弱化时都会归到这两个音上.有时候还会变成一种介于两者之间的音.(注:国际音标里没有,只有专业的语音书籍才会提到).所以著名的longman(朗文)词典在标音标的时候,常常会给出一个上面是短I,下面是ə的音标符号.它表示你可以把它都成i,ə,或者二者的中间音.而其他的词典在这方面都做的不如朗文好.所以,你说的书本和牛津词典的注音都是正确的,但都是不完全的,你可以任选一种.一般而言,在美语发音中,很多发i的音都趋向发ə,原因可能是因为这个音是英语中最模糊最常见发起来最不费力的一个音.注:所说i音是big中的i的发音,不是beat中ea的发音.
