About BuddhaEvery living being has the same basic wish – to be happy and to avoid suffering. Even newborn babies, animals, and insects have this wish. It has been our main wish since beginningless time and it is with us all the time, even during our sleep. We spend our whole life working hard to fulfil this wish.Since this world evolved, human beings have spent much time and energy improving external conditions in their search for happiness and a solution to their many problems. What has been the result?Instead of their wishes being fulfilled, human suffering has continued to increase while the experience of happiness and peace is decreasing. This clearly shows that we need to find a true method for gaining pure happiness and freedom from misery.When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations we tend to regard the situation itself as the problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from the side of the mind. If we were to respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us; indeed we may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development. Problems arise only if we respond to difficulties with a negative state of mind. Therefore, if we want to be free from problems we must learn to control our mind.

五大佛教名山：

一、山西五台山

五台山位于山西省忻州市，由五座大山组成，分布供奉着文殊菩萨的五个法身，又称五方文殊。作为文殊菩萨的道场，五台山不仅在国内影响力深远，而且在国际上都有一定的知名度。

而在五台山上数量众多的寺庙中，当属五爷庙香火最盛，每年都有不计其数的香客游人慕名至此进香许愿。若是你也有计划来此，切记最多可需三个愿望，而且许愿后记得安排好时间回来还愿。

二、浙江普陀山

普陀山位于浙江省舟山群岛东部海域，乃是佛教中观世音菩萨教化众生的道场。这里四面环海，风景优美，十分清幽，素有“第一人间清净地”之美誉。在普陀山，时不时就能听到诵颂、坐禅和偈乐，不仅能体验到佛文化的虔诚伟大，还能感受到一种前所未有的祥和与平静。

三、四川峨眉山

峨眉山位于四川盆地西南部，是佛教中普贤菩萨的道场，山上拥有大小寺庙近30座，代表有报国寺、华藏寺、伏虎寺、清音阁、万年寺等，这些寺庙依山而建，让峨眉山充满了佛文化的浓厚气息。

此外，峨眉山景色极美，四季风光均有特色，即使不为拜佛，来这里登山游玩，亦是一番绝佳的出行体验。

四、安徽九华山

九华山位于安徽省池州市青阳县境内，是佛教中地藏王菩萨的道场，因九峰形似莲花而得名，山脉绵亘一百余公里，素有“东南第一山”之美誉。九华山上名刹古寺众多，比较著名的有天台寺、肉身宝殿、化城寺、百岁宫等古刹，佛文化氛围浓厚。

此外，九华山上的每个寺庙都会免费提供三炷香给游人香客，因此来这里时无需携带太多外物，只需注意一些佛教讲究，然后心诚则灵。

五、浙江雪窦山

雪窦山位于浙江省宁波市奉化区境内，是佛教中弥勒佛的道场，山上风光旖旎，素有“海上蓬莱，陆上天台”之美誉。早在晋朝时期，位于雪窦山心的雪窦寺就已创立，至今已有1700多年前的历史。

千百年来，雪窦寺香火极盛，高僧辈出，在佛教发展史上具有举足轻重的地位。不过，如果不是对佛文化特别熟悉，估计很多人都不知道雪窦山在佛教中有着这么崇高的地位和影响力。
