Dangar (English: Wrestling Competition) is a 2016 Hindi biographical sports drama based largely on the story of amateur wrestler Mahavel Singh Forgart, who trains his daughters Gita Forgart and Barbita Kumari to become world-class wrestlers. It was directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It is made by Walter Disney, Amirkhan and UTV. It takes Amirkhan as her father. The two daughters won medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Babita won silver in the Olympics, gold in the 51kg category and the 55kg category at the 14th Glasgow Olympics. 2012, Geeta became the first India woman wrestler to qualify for the Olympic Games. Mahavir's efforts inspired dozens of India women to take part in wrestling.
